I'm angry at the board zbout this. They are so fucking slow to react. Even back with Silva, Marquinhos, Isco or Benatia they just dont do anything just wait around while others sign them and then make stupid signings most of the time to boot.

We could gave easily won a cl in recent years had they signed the right players the club needed at that point.
Not to mention the constant overpaying for players, getting low fees, not renewing in time, leyting valuable players go and many more things.

I hate Perez with a passion and to me he cant join his wife soon enough but the man is extremely smart and competent. The main reason why Madrid arent like Liverpool or Milan is all to him snd his decisions. Meanwhile we are stuck with these amateuristic clowns who even face jailtime or have jobs due to politics.

I really hope it changes next elections , in the long run we might get stuck in a madrid ruled football world of we dont act properly.

Modric, Isco, Odegaard, Danilo, Kroos, Ozil. 6 Barca fans.

Is Odegaard a Barca fan? Never heard of him expressing so.

I agree with forumites who are angry at our board. We are so so friggin' slow in everything. Real Madrid/Flo is a business before everything and they sure know how to conduct business, better than most people, certainly better than us.

Was wondering why there was so many new pages. Now I know.

Thank you Barca board to have bought Douglas last summer instead of a real RB.

Not even mad at RM. That's barca's fault 100%.

+1

As Bertus already said, we have no one to blame but ourselves. This hurts the most.

Just curious Morten, are you extremely pessimistic or really believe over the top jinxing works?

No reason to be positive about anything, really. The league is finished, out of the cup and we drew the worst possible team in the knockouts. And then, when all our key-players starts to getting fit for battle, another one is out, again. Many more to come, im sure.

I think that people have missed something here.

You don't become a fan just because you praise club/player x at a certain period in time. During Pep's tenure FCB were widely praised by practically everyone. From Maradona to Pelé. From Beckenbauer to Valdano. Yet obviously those that praised us were not necessarily fans.

There is no proof whatsoever of Odegaard, Kroos, Danilo etc. being fans of the club. Even if they were at one point then this does not matter the slightest. It would not surprise me if FCB had bought dozens of players who at one point in their life's were RM fans or "fans" of other teams.

Buying Danilo for practically 35 million euros (1 year left of his contract) when you have Carvajal already who is the better player, younger (albeit not by much) and a canterano is moronic. Announcing it before the 2 crucial months of the season is equally moronic. Carvajal won't like that news for sure.

This is far from the end of the world.

I say let's buy Fabinho. He is a monster defensively and is decent in the offensive part of the game. Hell, next summer there might even be a more promising and much cheaper prospect out there somewhere in Latin America. No, I am not thinking about Lord Douglas' cousin.

Of course. But considering we haven't renewed Alves yet, we're not in a position to take our time. We need to do something asap and I can't understand why our board is so chilled about it.

What should they do?
Can´t sign Players and Alves wants a 3 year contract which he won´t get.

I don´t think we were that interested in Danilo anyway.

I still don't get the difference between 2 and 3 years from the club's perspective. Is the 3rd year's salary the only issue stopping them from offering him a 3-year contract? If Alves is not performing, we can offload/sell him before his contract is up, right?

The thing is, we simply can't afford to let Alves go now without being able to sign any good RBs right now.

See my most recent post in the Alves thread.

Maybe the board were unwilling to pay 35 million euros for a player who only has 1 year left of his contract? Maybe they believe another option would/is better? Maybe Danilo was not willing to wait until January 2016? Many questions that are left unanswered.

Sorry, that's just butthurt talks you have here.

It's like saying PSG buying DL was moronic. Sure paying 50M might have been (and even so, not sure, he's one of the MAIN reason PSG is still present in ALL competitions so far. He played a gigantic part in it. But I guess it will hurt so many people to even admit it. Chelsea's fans can eat it after all they said last summer. So much that they might get fat drinking their own tears), but it helped. PSG had so many injured players that it was in the end one of the smartest decision PSG ever had (and yeah, I am one who was against it and just insulted Nasser and Blanc thousand times here about it, but I know when to admit it when I'm wrong).

Same for Marquinhos, "oh boy, PSG bought DL, so it was moronic to not sell Marquinhos 50M euros, since having 3 great CBs is apperntly too much for many people here". How many times I read it here that PSG didn't need to keep those 3 CBs. Only morons have such stupid talks.

Come on guys. Anyone, and I say ANYONE who's not lost in fanboys talks dreams of having 2 great players (at least) for each slots on the pitch. It's ALL good for so many reasons:

- In case of injury.
- Because each player knows that he has to work harder and harder to stay the number one for his slot.

Marquinhos wouldn't have grown so much if he was not in competition with DL and TS, he said it himself. It pushed him to work hard like a madman to reach the level he has now.

Sirigu is the complete opposite. He doens't feel threatened so he didn't work hard enough. He even was lazy enough to gain weight and all.

So yeah, made up butthurt comments all you want, but no, Danilo is a great buy for RM even if they already have Carvajal.
