Danilo Luiz da Silva

Why not. He was the best of the lot.

Any RM fan is happy right now I guess and they have any right to be.

Maybe Carvajal would have been even better this season if he felt threatened. Arbeloa is not a threat.

Also with better quality on their bench, maybe RM would have been better.

I never considered Arbeloa good enough. Danilo is way better till proven wrong (And if I am proven wrong next season, don't worry, I'll be first to admit it.)

You must have missed the tons of retarded discussions we had here then.

Even I said so many bad things about DL. Yet I was wrong. He's one of the main reasons PSG might save their season because so many other players were not good enough (including TS for the first 6 months of the season)

He's not imo.

The reason is that great players usually don't want to come to be benched at first, that's all.

Danilo is ok with that. Good for RM, bad for us.

There's nothing wrong with what RM did in Danilo's case.

I am half Spanish. I speak and write Spanish fluently. I just read plenty of comments on Marca, AS and Spanish RM forums and many people have the same worries/complains that I just mentioned. I don't think that this is coincidence.

Best option? According to who? That is a highly subjective claim. "Best player" is a silly description. It totally depends on your needs.

Yes, and maybe Carvajal will get a depression and struggle with the added competition. You don't know yet whether increased competition will do him or RM any good.

I never commented on DL nor did I follow those discussions. All I am saying is that I don't think that David Luiz is worth that much money. He could be a good or bad transfer regardless of that.

Yes he is. He has been a competent member of the team for almost 5 years now. Considering how little he plays then he is a competent squad player/replacement.

Once again there is a good reason why Coentrao has stagnated and wants out.

We have different opinions. It's this simple. Look at my most recent post.

The same reason why James/Kroos start over Isco. Danilo might get preference unless there is a huge difference between their performances.

It is totally unrealistic to have two world class players in every position. There isn't a team in the world that has that.

Maybe world class is too much to ask. But we have some fillers in the team that probably won't start in a team like... say... Valencia. Those need to go.

Ideally, you want 1 world class player per position, 1 very good backup (who'd start for mid-upper table sides), and, if you want to go for overkill, 1 talented youngster or 1 competent player that would start in a mid table side.

Hacks like Douglas should have no place in the squad past Summer 2016.

Valencia are a good side though! Montoya is better than Barragan.

Valencia are 3rd place. >_>

They're very good. And people don't give Montoya enough credit. The guy does what he can with infrequent starts and basically having his confidence snapped in four by successive coaches.

I think a sub. from Barcelona, Real, Bayern should be able to start for teams even like Valencia, who's pushing for a first tier spot these days.

Most of Barcelonas back up players could start for Valencia though.

While the likes of Valencia will always have players that are better than Barca back ups. It works both ways.
