Danilo Luiz da Silva

We have different opinions. It's this simple. Look at my most recent post.
Sorry I have difficulties believing you're not butthurt when you're writing that you "hope" that it will fail like it supposedly failed with Coentrao/Marcello

And then you dare saying that i pick examples to suit my agenda

I wish the best for Danilo and Carvajal hoping it will end like with Marquinhos/DL/TS where it boosted all three to work harder.

Don't care if he's an RM player, I never wish bad things like that just to suit my "opinion".

edit: Oh you deleted your post then reposted it below with changes.

Anyway let us hope that it will end like with Marcelo and Coentrão.

Yeah, i wouldnt mind that the slightest. Two of the best lbs staying fairly content for many seasons? Yes please. Coentrao and Marcelo has timed their injuries very well over the years, Coentrao was always there when Marcelo was injuries/out of form and he did very well. Very good deal for us, really.

All in all, IMO, this is a petty waste of money by Perez. It's comparable to buying La Liga's best goalkeeper and sitting him on the bench for Gramps. Oh wait. They already did that with Keylor Navas.

Possibly, but I think he will start ahead of Carvajal. Time will tell I suppose.

Then what? Will Carvajal be content with being the substitute at this point in his career when he needs all the playing time that he can get to develop further and to cement his place for La Roja? You can ask the exact same questions in regards to Danilo. Why? Because both are in the exact same age group, fighting to establish themselves for their respective national teams, have a similar level etc. One of them will become the loser.

Mark my words it will end just like with Coentrão and Marcelo. With one of them stagnating and moving on eventually.

Imagine for a second if we had 2 Alba's and 2 Alves' (in their prime) on each back. Do you seriously believe that this would work on the long run?

I seriously suspect Pérez of buying Danilo simply to prevent us from buying him (to a large extent at least).

Anyway let us hope that it will end like with Marcelo and Coentrão.

If I were RM I would have bought an entirely different player that would be able to compete with Carvajal, who would perform decently whenever called into action, who would have been cheaper to buy, who would have a lower salary and who would not demand/expect to play each time like Carvajal does/will do. Players such as Darmian or Piszczek.

For instance it would have made much more sense to sell a 27 year old Coentrão (identical age as Marcelo) to replace him with a 20 year old Gayá who is the future and who would develop into the substitute of Marcelo on the long run.

What I am telling you here is something that many local RM fans are saying themselves too. They must be "butthurt" as well (in lack of better arguments) I guess…

So am I expected to cheer for him? I want every RM player to fail. Whether Graversen or Zidane. You obviously missed all the arguments. Just stick to throwing the word "butthurt" around in lack of better arguments.

Not a waste of money at all.

What will happen next season will tell if it's a waste or not.

DL was not a waste for PSG in the end. Fact.

Real Madrid f***** us pretty hard. First Isco, now Danilo. All of you saying he is not that good are just covering your eyes, because Madrid got him. They didn let another Alves case to happen. He was PERFECT REPLACEMENT for Alves, as Isco was for Iniesta. I just dont see any other player who could replace him

It's a lot of money, right enough, but RM have shown they care little about costs of players and they actually are good at flipping unwanted talent for good return, so for them the €31.5M hardly seems a problem. They'll somehow flip Arbeloa to some idiot for half of that. They got Napoli to bite on Albiol for €12M for fucks sake

Money aside though, it also makes sense talent-wise. I'm not as high on Danilo as many here seem to be, I don't see the Alves comparisons anywhere, but I'm even less high on Carvajal who to me is seriously overrated and a product of the RM hype machine. Danilo is an upgrade over Carvajal in my eyes, and should start over him next season without a doubt.

No one asked you to cheer on them.

But hoping that he will fail just to prove your point is not what I call an argument.

As I said, if you're right next season, I'll be first to come to you and admit I was wrong. Till then, I don't see any reasons to wish for him to fail.

Barca fucked Real with Neymar and Suarez.

Works both ways.

Barca are not entitled to first chance on every good player going.

If we're going to believe the papers, we also beat out Real for Halilovic and Rakitic. And then passed on Kroos.

The coentrao/Marcelo example is pretty poor imo. Both of then seemed fairly content sharing the lb position for quite a few seasons now, especially Coentrao has dealt with it very well. Doesnt come without downsides of course, but it was always a great feeling when one of them got injuried, that we had a top alternative to call upon.

He's a Real Madrid player. As a Barca fan, that is reason enough to wish failure upon him.
