With them having Diaz, Nunez for mane is a good move.

In all seriousness wish we were in a position to make these kinda big money moves right now or didn't listen to xavi on Torres.

I’m still confused why he left? Dispute with Laporta..?

Official statement is personal reason, but he resigned 10 days after Xavi was hired; and we know Xavi wanted huge influence on signings. If I am going to take a guess I think dispute with Xavi is more likely scenario.

Pushed to side as not a Laporta man.

Xavi, Alemany and Cruyff put in charge of transfers.

Shame as brought a lot.

On Nunez.. he may not even cost much more on the books per season than Lewandowski if the fee for him is 30-35m for three years and salary is around 15m.

Although hard to know what fee for Lewandowski will be or his salary as varying numbers rumoured. So 15m just a stb down the middle somwhere.

Barca could try some sort of different deal for Lewa when he signs for 5 years but can leave for free after three or something similar to reduce costs on books now and take that bit more of a hit when leaves in x3 years.

most likely.

That's why we don't have an SD now and we are forced to suffer Xavi's choices like Alonso and azpli

Liverpool willing to pay ?100m for him a according to the guardian, they must have been really impressed in his game against them.

To think we could have potentially signed him, fine margins.

We can probably put in bid in though, we can afford it.

Would think the CL Final would have made Klopp even more keen for this move.

Although Courtois made some saves Liverpool were not really hurting Real with balls into the box.

True very well ran club on the sporting side.
Someone will undoubtedly point out that they do infact make mistakes though.

Would be a crime if we could sign players like these on the books, but don't but I very much doubt it that simple, everyone is a amateur sporting director these days.

But the porfesessionals at Liverpool are killing it.

I'd flip mane for Nunez any day good succession planning something we knew nothing about for years & failed when we did try.

If only club would stop finishing 2nd lol.

Dude, it's not like us buying Ferran actually is the reason we can't buy anyone (so far). We haven't even started paying to City yet, first of 4 installments is actually this summer, so if we're looking purely for this year's expenses (since it's the only thing affecting this year's transfer moves), it's like we're actually just now buying Ferran and paying only 15M.

Dude I meant in the sense that there is better quality out there for Similar prices, but we instead backed xavi on a average player.

I'm not getting into the break down of contrasts over years because none know what they are talking about here, it's all guess work.

Ramon Planes was a really good SD.
Had spotted his talent long time ago and proposed Barca to buy him from Almeria.
Barto was still the president back then FFS

I wanted to sign him even before Planes. Should have appointed me as a SD.

Bad thing about him likely going to Liverpool is now I'll actually have to watch them sometimes, lol.

According to reports, whispers and ITK stuff, Nunez is a Klopp signing.

Apparently, he's supposed to be a striker Klopp really wants to work with. Klopp rates the raw tools the lad has and thinks he can groom him.

The club will therefore agree to fork out a bit extra money to get him.

Front 3 will look something like Diaz-Nunez-Salah

Subs will have Jota, Bobby, Carvalho and another new face I believe. We're linked to Nkunku too.

Gotta admit it: I didn't want this guy for the price quoted because I thought he was too raw, limited and overpriced.

But Bloody Hell, if Klopp wants him.....tf do I know?! Let's get him!

This is a crazy price. Suarez was recommending this kid for years (along with the chap that moved to Granada and has better raw tools) and we slipped up.

Too late now, but not for the Granada kid as they relegated.
