Erling Haaland

Man City might be favorites, but Haaland is a bit of an enigma.

No one knows what he and his family are thinking. I'm not sure he's even considered which team he would want to play for himself.

Mbappe I feel everyone knows is destined to play for Real Madrid.

I'd want to follow:

Cruyff, Maradona, Laudrup, Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi, Suarez, Neymar

And not:

Aguero

But playing for Pep Guardiola might also be very enticing, and would still allow him to make a move to Spain later down the road.

Personally I'm happy as long as he doesn't join Real Madrid or Man Utd(because I'm already tired of our media jerking off Solskj?r at every possible opportunity)

Depends if that is what is important to him.

Plenty of clubs have more historic players than City that will lose players to them currently on market

MCFC failed to get Fred and Jorginho, let us hope that continues  seriously though, City is the only team that I am worried about. I previously thought that they would not go after him because of Pep; however, I am starting to worry, particularly after what Pep said yesterday about Aguero. It also seems that Haaland supports City.

We need this guy and a world class CB and we'll be on the right track back to dominance. Of course, that's the simplified version, but this guy instead of Dembele/Griezmann last night and we go through against PSG, even with that disaster Lenglet at the back. We just need someone to bang in the goals and someone who doesn't shit a brick everytime Joe Pace comes at him.

We'd compete for the final with Haland alone that's why it's important to do everything to get him.

Replace just 1 attacker , a.k.a. Dembele, with Haland and we would have a real chance of turning this tie around.
Replace just 1 defender, a.k.a. Lenglet Brainded, with any above average defender, and we would be first in the league.

That's the impact 2 key players who constantly underperform vs 2 key players who do their part make.

I won't mention Griezmann as needing a replacement. We can just play with 10 men.

I don't feel like he's the most loyal player. Considering he's basically got every big club to choose from, I think him and Raiola will play it smart and choose the best club for him short term. If it's City I'm sure Raiola will want to include some sort of clause that doesn't give City all the power over him.

Doubt his next club will be his where he stays until he's 32. Could see him switching clubs 2-3 times before he's 30, including the switch from Dortmund.

I don't know how, or if it's even possible but Laporta should do everything possible to sign this kid. If we had someone like him against PSG we would have easily won the tie.

too many positions that we need to fill in order to have a competitive squad for him to win trophies. at city he would be the missing link or cherry on top if you want.

we need a CB, a RB, a DM/CM(starter preferably) and ST. not too convinced about our wingers also, but let's say that we can manage for a year with what we have.

We don't need a RB and a DM/CM. We desperately need a No.9 and a CB and that's it. Dest is more than OK and we can pull Emerson from Betis. In midfield we have De Jong and Pedri with Ilaix incoming. That midfield can become a world class. We need patience more than we need some big signings for midfield or fullback position. If we can get Alaba for free it would be good as he can cover both LB/CB position. Get Alaba, Haaland and Garcia and sell Coutinho, Griezman, Umtiti, Pjanic and Martin and we are set to go. Even if Messi decides to leave we would have an exciting starting 11.

---------Mats------------
Dest-Araujo-Alaba(Garcia)-Alba
--------De Jong---------
----Pedri-----Illaix------
Demebele-Haaland-Fati

A decade of dominance incoming! :)

Joking aside, No.9 and a CB should be our top priority. Anything else should be addressed after we solve those two issues.
