Erling Haaland

La Liga is nowdays miles away from EPL. Sadly. I am talking about top clubs. Not Getafe/Wolves comparison.

So Barcelona is a miles away from trophies = personal awards...

Barcelona just had most chaotic season in years and players based on last season that swept boards at balondor.

High profile club to be at for those awards and focus of leading the team.

Why are people talking just Barca/Real as a possible outcome?

EPL clubs have trucks of money and Haalands father played there...

It is reported that Haaland prefers Spain and whenever has vacation he travels to Marbella or back home an hour away from Stavanger here in Norway.

[Le Parisienne] Arsene Wenger: Haaland will go to Barcelona because he doesn't want to compete with Mbapp? at Real Madrid ||

this is such a stupid, childish argument..by that logic why he would want to come to barca and compete with fati then, the one who was choosen to lead and be the face of new barca after messi exit?

If Haaland signs for Barca he will be face of club and most high profile player at club by far.

Cant compare Fati and Mbappe on that side of it.

IMHO we are definitely going to chase him in summer. I only hope that he won't flop here as all of our other expensive signings. We simply can't make another expensive mistake. If we spend that much money he has to be our next franchise player who will make history here.

Well nobody knows if being the main star is really that important for Haaland, but if it is then of course Mbappe and Fati aren't even remotely comparable.

Mbappe is already one of the biggest stars in football, Fati still just a promising kid that got the #10 jersey but that alone doesn't say anything. Puig is currently wearing Xavis 6

Haaland would be by far the biggest player at Barca, no competition at all in that regard. Pedri, Fati etc yes very talented and hyped youngsters but not the same category.

Excluded a bad injury I don't see him flopping at Barca. He'd be like Zlatan at worst, who was hardly a flop. Only thing that made him "a flop" is what the club made out of this situation. 22 goals and 13 assists in 46 games are good numbers.

Now that Messi is gone Barca desperately needs a new leader. With leader I mean a player that precedes with good performances, scoring ridiculous numbers of goals. Haaland won't create anything near Leo's numbers when it comes to playmaking, key passes, assists, but he scores goals and goals usually win you games.

However, I don't see him becoming a franchise player, ever. If his next move is Spain, he'll leave for the Premier League at the age of 25, 26, 27.

Bro zlatan was as big of a flop as countinho. Probably even worse considering we gave eto away.

Different from giving Suarez away cause eto was still work class.

Maybe we should make a list here with all the users who would have to eat a broom in the summer if Haaland switches to Barca. Just to be on the safe side, because according to the generally well-informed Fabrizio Romano (despite all the advice of the numerous "financial experts" we have here) Barca at least is "in the race". Nothing more, nothing less. But it's already clear: If Haaland isn't coming, then everyone knew it beforehand and if the completely unrealistic case should arise that Haaland comes to Barca, then everyone will be happy and exploit the side effects (which of course only exist at Barca, both financially and sportingly). The usual pattern: Prepare yourself for all scenarios!

The key question remains: If everyone is so sure that we can't afford Haaland and his camp is not interested in coming to Barca, why is it discussed at length? Pure waste of time. You can sit back and relax and enjoy the reports of Barca's interest in Haaland.

I haven't read any statement from Laporta, Alemany or Xavi that Haaland will play at Barca next season.
