I get this sentiment too. I think he's gonna be a bit of a fun freak-like player that's quite hit and miss. A bit like Dzeko, or Drogba. I don't think anyone should fear him being a Bas Dost, Nikola Zigic or Jan Koller.
More like Ibrahimovic for me. Technical and mobile for his size, but I feel he can be marked out by a proper defense against Europe's best sides. Will probably be a monster league player.
At Dortmund it would be difficult. They play insanely fast out of the back or whenever they dispossess an opponent. Very little time to organize a defense here, let alone that while marking a kid with Ronaldo positioning ability.
Bundesliga suits him, it's a pacey league, end to end. It's heaven for players that like spaces, like Haaland. I think he'll struggle a bit if teams don't give him space. His close ball control is suspect a bit imo.

Lack of space argument is totally ass when you have a 195cm dude who can get to 5x the amount of crosses solely because of the long body and smart positioning. People were saying the same shtick for years about forwards coming from the Prem to La Liga and it worked just fine, many of the best players adapt. Even Bale who's as one dimensional as it gets will score on you and he doesn't have to have a heavenly touch to do so.
+ talking about space as if he's a kick n rush winger is nonsense. 95% of his goals so far are tap-ins or quick finishes in the box where he brushes off his marker. Or they're about great timing of runs onto a cross, much like Ronaldo.

I would have actually said that a type like Haaland is probably the most effective to break down such a defense, when so many technical football approaches have failed against them. But you never know.
Funny thing about Haaland is that I've yet to see him do well at headers coming in from crosses/corners. Being tall doesn't mean you're naturally great at it.
I'd take 1.84m Ramos over most tall players.
