Erling Haaland

But wait, how many touches did he have and was he able to nutmeg defenders in tight spaces? Pass and move for the 2nd goal was class.

Stays healthy and he takes the most goals scored in a single PL season in his debut campaign. Also breaks Shearer's 260 with eyes closed if lad can be arsed to stay in England.

Mbappe is still the better all round player, but did not do himself any favours accepting the bribe to stay in France. That being said, Erling could improve the other areas of his game massively as he develops under Pep and hardens under the strength of the Premier League. Barring another World Cup/CL triumph Haaland will be widely viewed as the better player by season's end.

Mbappe is more talented and better all around player. But Haaland already moved to bigger challenge, play under one of GOAT manager.

He will surprass Mbappe soon. Unless that turtle changes.

Fast, strong, energetic, opportunistic and an instinctive scorer. That is all Haaland. Not in any way talent-wise comparable to Mbappe. Cavani-on-steroids is more like it.

He is a very "modern" type of attacker, no flair, no magic on the ball, just absurd physicality and efficiency, but it works.

Not complaints from me though, never imagined a striker this good coming from Norway.

You are right. Alot if talented kids who are less physically gifted will be overlooked in the future. Football is almost moving towards the super athletic, super driven team model almost NFL like. If games are reduced to 60 minutes we will almost exclusively see players who are much bigger and more physical.

Look up my posts since MArch where I criticize Haaland's abilities and the hysteria around him.
Never said he is NOT gonna score goals, especially against the common EPL fodder.

Is he the right thing for City?
We don't know yet. If they win the CL with him being responsible for that, yes you will be right.
If not, I don't know. Is he?
Would EPL be enough? Were they not winning almost all EPLs before Haaland??
Think about it
Yes, City's main goal is the CL.
But judging whether a transfer was good or not based off only whether the TEAM wins the CL or not, it's a questionable logic.
He scores 40 in the EPL, 15 in the CL, but in the final Ederson has a Donnanoruma vs. R. Madrid tyoe of game. They lose and Haaland is suddenly a bad transfer/not the right thing for City? It's difficult to make things so black or white.

In the end Haaland getting them over the finishing line 8s all that matters. If they get to final, Haaland has a stinker and 8s subbed at half time but City win....

You are right. In many ways, that is quite sad. Takes the fun away.

Insanity.

I don't give a fuck about any other skills if you can score 8 in 5. You can sleep in the Pen box for all I care!

Amazing.
Hopefully Darwin Nunez has seen what Haaland and Jesus have done over the past few games and he will come back with a vengeance !!

What are you smoking? Fifa 22?

In real life people play different roles and complement each other. Ever since football was created, a classical winger is fast and a pure striker is tall

You're welcome
Watched a compilation of his g/a so far. Beast. He doesn't even have to use his body. Defenders push him and fall down by themselves.

Lol true!

I've seen defenders grab at his shirt and they just get pulled in the direction he's moving or bounce off of him.
Maybe the most powerful number nine I've ever seen.
