Zlatan about Haaland: "I crown Haaland as the next Superstar in football. I like his style, the way he plays and most importantly the way he talks. He talks and delivers, that's how a footballer should be. I really like it."

Stop trying to victimize yourself on every whim. Players look at more than just club prestige. He knew if he went to Man City he'd be undisputed starting striker. At Real you still have Benzema. With Bayern likely same as he probably heard internally Lewy was having a falling out with club?

So his father revealed in Haaland The Big Decision documentary that Karim Benzema was main reason he did not pick Madrid. They're biggest criterium was figuring out which team needed no.9 the most. Almost verbatim to what I said. Huge W for me.

 Zlatan... biggest underachiever of the last 20 years, because he thinks fast cars and ego are the pinnacle of football. Choose a smarter one.

We should have been higher on his list. Hindsight shows we went big in a new project and needed a top 9 to lead it.

But more importantly (for him) we would have been desperate enough to put a low enough exit clause to secure him unlike Madrid or PSG (lol).

3/4 years time and he would be dictating his next financial decision. Let's see how much City let him go for.

Tbh when we started discussions to sign him our team was looking quite bad lol

If we continue our rebuild and complete it well I'd imagine we would be right at the top of his list along with Madrid in 3-4 years if he decides to leave City.

Absolutely, but we would be looking at a (rightly) 1b release clause, while this year we may have agreed to something like 120-160m just to secure him and get back to the elite level.

Well there's one reason not to rate Haaland.

This clown still thinks he's funny. Embarrassing way of talking at 40.

If only he focussed as much on his game he wouldn't fall short at the highest level and wouldn't have to run away to France and US to statpad.

He had only 6 serious attempts in a CL.
2005, 06 with Juve.
2007, 08, 09 with Inter.
2010 with Barca.

Everything after that were average CL teams.

For example, Lewandowski played for 8 seasons at Bayern (much stronger than Juve or Inter) who were always in top 3-4 clubs in Europe and managed to win it only once in 8 attempts.

Not a super glorious CL carreer either if we want to be honest.

So, they both suck.
But Zlatan is at least funny ;)

Nah lewa has scored the 3rd most goals in the CL, never in any clutch moments, so he's the 3rd best behind those two.

Lewandowski also has like 40 CL goals more, in less games. Sharing #3 spot of most CL goals of all time with Benzema, 15 goals ahead of #5 and from there nobody else even hit 60 yet.

So Messi suck as well coz he plays only for top clubs? You should ask yourself why he played for such clubs and not top ones... You really seems to have some obsession about Lewy.
