Let's be honest here.
There are so many underperforming players in the team right now and useless players in the squad. Subs are usually made to make tactical changes or make an impact and we have no impact players on the bench that can win the game for us.
Suarez underperforming, Rakitic underperforming. Denis, Paco, Gomes mostly useless with the former not even having a proper position.
There's only this much a coach can do when your untouchable starters are stinking up the place. Could try and bench them, but would be a case of damned if you do, damned if not in case it still fails.
What I fear is Robert, Segura and the board not realizing the players we need to move on from.

Just as I expected he is thoroughly exposed now, through his stubborness to inspire this side. Should never have taken out Iniesta and let Rakitic play for 77 mins before taking him out. Inisisted on playing Suarez despite his poor form is going to bite back at you some day. No pun intended. Lets see if he still inists on playing Suarez in future games. Some very wierd decision making from him, it really boggles my mind.
A fraud through and through. Very mediocre coach.
Totally left out Semedo when he could have provided more defensively today.

He put a bet on Umtiti not getting a hamstering which cost a goal, and the refs being able to see. He should learn about the latter part.

But MUH results. Tactically clueless coach with no balls that's made us toothless in attack and gets exposed by every half decent team on the counter. We've just had Umtiti and Stegen bailing us out for a while. Real Madrid, Valencia and now Celta have all made us look stupid on counter, basically any team with decent attackers who play attacking football will expose us. We're not some rock solid defensive juggernaut like some people here would make you believe.
Now the luck stops going our way, we stop winning off own goals and fluky rebound goals and he's exposed what he truly is. Like I've said we can't play like we have been and expect to keep winning, it's UNSUSTAINABLE, but keep pulling the wool over your eyes and pretending we're fine because we have a 6 point lead over Madrid still.
Only a fool would take Iniesta off in a 1-1 match. We could rest him in the midweek match anyways since that's basically meaningless.

Why does he starts with rakitic and paulinho every game ? There are so many players in the first team that needs to benched right now its ridiculous. Just give the youth more play time. They wont do worse then rakitic and for god sake dont play Roberto at rb anymore. We bought a rb for a reason. Give Alena more play time instead of rakitic or paulinho. Play Denis Suarez more often. The guy plays 1 bad match and get benched for the rest of the season. try to give the guy a few run of matches and try him out. He needs to do something new. It seems like the only thing he knows is start with the veteran players and hope for Messi to score or Ter Stegen to save us.
We haven't played 1 good match this season bar the juventus game at home. He seems like the new lucho indeed. totally out his depth

We created plenty of chances to secure the win (Messi, Pique, Paulinho etc). That is not Valverde's fault.
Umtiti choosing to stop tracking his man is also not Valverde's fault, and neither is Pique the bozo ending up in the middle of the freakin goal when he should man mark.
Barca had plenty of opportunities even after Iniesta was subbed off. If you blame Valverde for this particular loss, you are truly clueless. This was on the players.

I’m not a Valverde fan. You can stick your head in the sand and pretend everything is hunky dory but I won’t.
He’s a mediocre coach with small team mentality.
