It is on him though. The way he set up the team with the players he picked resulted in the team moving the ball slowly with no one wanting to pick that pass over the top or through their high line. Against teams such as this you need pace and creativity to threaten that high line and punish it.

Valverde started too many games wanting to win by playing economical football. This is no different than Eibar away. Same style. Play defensive and just win by those few moments of individual brilliance.

If we bottle La Liga and don't win the CL, then he has to go. There cannot be any excuses to bottling the league. Get your shit together Ernesto and give up on your favorites and play the team that got the best chance to win. We need to go out there to win, to kill the game. That need to be our mentality instead of trying to find one goal and ride it out until the end.
