Ernesto Valverde - V1

As if the shit on a stick football and loss wasnt enough , Ernie comes out with this classic

Valverde: "We had the game controlled, but in one minute we suddenly were 2-1 behind. We have not had the ability to generate many chances today."

"We had the game controlled.:coffee:

I hate his approach. Sure, we kind of controlled it, but we should enjoy the game - not just kill it. We are fucking barcelona, why do we have to fukcing play it "safe"? We created nothing.

dude has the keys to a bugatti but is too afraid to even take a look at it out the window.

Wow, What a brilliant analogy...

October y'all.

Most probably a make or break for him.

But, its Bartomeu plus lack of available alternatives, so can't say.

Not disputing talent, but no tactics will fix those clumsy defensive blunders...

Its also because of pathetic future planning. I mean, we are thinking of paying 120M+ for Pogba while a wise man would rather spend that on De Ligt and De jong.

Too early to call Lenglet anything, but imo it would've been much better to try and get de ligt albeit for 10-20M fmore than what we paid for Lenglet.

And btw we arent even looking for Suarez's alternatives, we need to start planning for the future. There is a reason why RM buys mostly young players.

Ernesto Valverde: "It's a difficult moment, but Saturday's game is important and in front of our own fans. We have to pick ourselves up and we hope everyone can help us

What else is he going to say. We haven't had a manager that would throw players under a bus and rightfully so.

Wolfe made some valid points about lack of leadership in the squad but I don't agree with Bartomeu blame here. Team is very good and we should be playing way better football than presented in most games Valverde had coached.

Some quick fixes:
1. Bench some players that are too comfortable (Pique first, Suarez, Busquets, Rakitic)
2. Stop throwing players to start after not playing single minute since the start of the season.

In this case when we had a wonderful transfer window Barto is not the main problem. He is a fucking fraud but our squad is great, only problem we have is the lack of LB backup and that can easily be solved in January. The main problem now is Valverde and that’s clear, so stop talking nonsense.

Actually, he's correct. You are looking at the short term, while a good president will plan/ would've planned for the long term. We failed to replace puyol for a long time, then Xaviniesta, couldn't keep Neymar (it may have turned out to be good, but that's just imcompetence) & ended up overpaying for Dembele, we haven't figured out replacements for Busq, Raki, Pique. We don't even give youth a chance, not even playing time.

The problems run deep.

Its just like a careless/clueless boyfriend buying expensive gifts for his girlriend, and the girlfriend gets happy & impressed. That's no guarantee how qualified the boyfried is, as a partner.

Barto isn't to blame for once.. if he handed EV the keys we'd have fucking Rabiot 442 special with Dembele going the other way

Valverde is doing everything wrong. Players are in bad physical condition, he has no system, no authority, no knowledge. He doesn’t give a shit about young players, he doesn’t know how to rotate players. After not giving them a single minute for a month he than expects from them to perform brilliantly when they finally gat a chance to play.

He also looks like a boring person with no character or authority which is bad for a club marketing department in the end. I really can’t see anything positive about this guy!

Dembele, Umtiti, Coutinho, Arthur, Malcom are short term solutions? Be serious. We bought only one short term solution this summer and that’s Vidal. We even tryed to get De Jong so this was finally for sure a long term thinking.
