Ernesto Valverde - V1

easiest way to shut down this BBZ valverde worship is to bring up his own posts about valverde after the Roma fiasco.

RM of 10-11 and 11-12 was better than every madrid of the 21st century except for 16-17 and 13-14. (14/15 is a toss-up).

the reason they didn't win CL is because we knocked them out in 10/11 and it took a herculean effort to pens from Bayern with prime robbery, lahm, bastian, neuer + jupp to deny them a final. go back and watch the bernabeu leg of the bayern tie, bayern barely hanged on.

P.S. wolfe agrees with BBZ on everything since it's the easiest wind-up ever.

half of this forum judges coaches only based on CL. we win league because Messi and lose CL because of coaches.

No. This forum judges coaches when they make a fool out of themselves in CL. Fans don't demand CL wins non stop. They do demand good performances in CL, and not disasters like Roma last year or the year before.

Winning the CL is not the standard I personally expect from a Barca manager on a season by season basis. Competing for it is.

Hahaha

Unreal.

Pepe, Albiol, Ramos RB, Arbeloa, Khedira and Higuain out mid-season with a disc hernia. All of that is now better than the team we had last year.

The bloody lengths you go to

Last year's Madrid were played off the park on Bernabeu by all of Barcelona, Juventus, and Bayern the best teams they faced. Finished 20 points off Barca in the league. The 2011 side beat peak Pep's Barcelona in a final.

It was simply a superior team. Madrid's CL trophy from last year was a fluke and an incredible collection of favorable situations, from gifts from refs, crazy misses from the other teams, to goalies giving you goals at key moments.

How typical of a Madrid fan to see the CL as a sort of sponge that erases all the shit from a season, completely forgetting the talks about Zidane getting sacked midseason. 2017-18 Madrid was a dysfunctional team that produced many horrible performances, some top ones, and got lucky at the right moments to win the CL. Zidane knew this very well so he decided to go. It was a masterful decision from him. Really smart man.

Utter gobshite.

The sole reason this team did badly was because many stopped caring about day-to-day fixtures. The likes of Ronaldo cared. Zidane wanted to go because he couldn’t get through to them and did it solely for their benefit. Zero to do with actual quality of players. Not to mention you’re comparing a side that won a stupid amount of trophies in year and a half to a side who won jackshit in the years leading up to it and were playing with fire under their asses in each Clasico to wipe away 2-6 and a manita. The actual squad was fucking shit when it comes to individual quality on those positions I brought up. They were organised a bit better which hid every possible flaw. None of the players I’ve mentioned are better than those we have had in the past year and a half on their core positions. Utter fucking garbage spouted just to fit your Valverde agenda. No surprise.

when we went nearly undefeated last season and lead the league by nearly 20 pts it was not enough and league was a "joke"

now he needs to be leading by +17 despite being first

the standards lol

Would much rather lose a few games trying something out that doesn't involve defending single goal leads and coming back to draw 1-1 constantly than go "nearly undefeated" and win by a 20 point margin that means nothing.

Not at all. A team of Barca’s talent should make it to the cl semis every year though. Getting defeated in the quarters yearly really stings, especially when we have the worlds best player. I feel like Barca fans in 10 years will look back and see just how much more this club could’ve achieved

We have been winning the league almost every season for the past decade. We won it even when we didn't have a coach for a half season. This is not the only measurement to show how good is the coach in a club like Barcelona. I already discussed this point my times but Valverde apologists keep bringing it after every win, while they completely disappear from this thread when the team loses. Typical!

We havent lost or drawn since EV innovated and reinvented the system. You're all living in the past still.

What system? Roll the dice and see if it works or not system? With the players we have we should play 4-3-3 system but of course, EV doesn't know how to implement this system, so now we have 2 talents worth 160m+ rotting on the bench. Do you call this a success?

Just because we paid so much for them doesn't mean they're worth that much.

According to your logic we should play them just because of how much they cost and not based on their individual merits and form.

Believe in the coach he is doing the right things as the 5-1 result shows.

According to your logic, merit= not performing well and making so many mistakes. Why EV keep playing underperforming players? Certain players will never be dropped no matter how they perform.

Real won unprecedented 3 CLs in the modern era record and we were celebrating our win over them in the Clasico last season. Stop fucking trolling RMU!

irony
noun
the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.

There seems to be a common trait among Valverde fanboys (and Madridistas)- they don't see to have an ironic gene in their bodies.

Another one is disappearing when results are bad and reappearing when results are good saying "Ha! See i told you Valverde is a perfect manager"
