Pep was bad in CL as well (last season excepted), but Premier League is a whole different level than beating the teams EV competed against in La Liga. Especially a really crap transition Madrid with Lopetegui and Solari.

You know, the thing is RM is happy to throw away La Liga if they think they can achieve CL success... Focusing on a single competition has always worked better for them, so I'm not really sure how much of a challenge it was to win La Liga, especially with the squad EV had at his disposal...
