Like I said. Very small amount of players these last 2 years believe ronaldo is anywhere as good as messi. When Ronaldo had his 2 record years (2013/2014) and Messi won almost nothing (nothing in 2014) he was still very close on percentage of votes.

This year Messi is simply better. His Copa was 5x better then anything Ronaldo did at Euro. He has already 2 titles, probably one more. He has twice the assists and more goals.

This is not a year where Ronaldo scored more, won more and actually played all around at high level while Messi was looking like he was declining and won nothing yet he was still as I said very close on votes.

Given that goals and assists are the most vital aspect of football, at least attacking wise, and they are both forwards, how can Messi have done more in the final then Ronaldo in the semis? Ronaldo has 1 goal and 1 assist today, Messi had neither in the final.

Yeah, BD is a very silly award nowadays. Stats rule. Popularity contest. Again the pre-FIFA ones were much better.
