European Super League

And now the project is seemingly in the rubble after institutional and government pressure, you see how it was necessary to give the founding members relegation immunity. Yet, even that wasn't enough. Think about it.

Back to meaningless CL games till the KO stages. Honestly, I find domestic league games to be more exciting than the group stages. Utter travesty and the new model from UEFA is hardly any better

This was probably just a ploy to bring Uefa to the table.

Hell of a ploy. Look at the shit storm it caused. In terms of santions or docked points i doubt that would happen. At the end of the day PL needs their top 6, CL needs the biggest clubs for the tv money and sponsors. This will settle down as fast as it started. Billionaires fighting with Billionaires.

Explain me something: Laporta joined the Super League, they apparently all got "binding contracts" and are the deadset 12 founders etc. Yet Laporta says "If socios dont vote yes, we wont join."

So Barca hasnt actually yet joined the Super League?
Has Perez been talking BS?
Or is Laporta talking BS, has already joined and is looking to pull out now while saving face?

Oh no..... apparently the Super League is still going ahead without the English teams.

What sense does that make?

Atleast the old man is showing some backbone. Big change faces adversity, but he might just end up with his daily eggs on his face.

How much funding and global eyeballs can a Spanish/Italian hybrid league realistically get? And then in that scenario it could kill LaLiga/Serie A which is another opposition.

Reports are that Barca have joined pending soci approval and negotiated an exit clause where they don't pay a penalty if the socis vote against it.

Perez is talking BS. The only thing certain is if all 15 clubs had signed the agreement they would get the JP Morgan loan done.

We have clearly joined. I don't trust that source about needing approval from the members in any case. We clearly signed a contract.... otherwise, they wouldn't have included Barcelona as one of the founding teams.
