Back to meaningless CL games till the KO stages. Honestly, I find domestic league games to be more exciting than the group stages. Utter travesty and the new model from UEFA is hardly any better

New model from Uefa is garbage.
Just go back to the old European Cup ko format.
Either that or have a league format where everyone plays everyone with only the top two teams from each league qualifying. No more meaningless games.

If the English clubs could easily get out like they did, I really don't buy the theory that we are somehow still waiting for a soci vote to make sure we don't incur any financial penalties. Plus, it is not like they are going to call an emergency assembly tomorrow and force a vote.

UEFA will continue to keep adding more games to their Champions League. It makes them way more money. Wouldn't surprise me if they steal the Super League idea and use it later down the line. As long as they're making the big money, they honestly don't care.

Champions League lost its magic years ago. The way the format is, it's impossible for the smaller clubs to compete in that tournament. It's basically the same 8 teams in the quarters every year in any case.

I don't mind these group games. Some of them gives you a chance to play some of the younger players in a CL environment which is cool for them. We don't need every single game to be tough and competitive. It's alright.

We have clearly joined. I don't trust that source about needing approval from the members in any case. We clearly signed a contract.... otherwise, they wouldn't have included Barcelona as one of the founding teams.

Yeah that's my impression. Laporta clearly must have signed something because they are listed there and from the announcement it very much sounded like Barcas participation was definite and not pending.
Either DonAK is correct and Barca simply signed just a half arse agreement (which makes it still weird then why Barca is listed as a clear founder) or Laporta tried continue without a socio vote somehow and now that its going to shit, he backtracks and says "of course we're having that vote."
