Fernando Torres

more realistic than having both, but Villa definitely is in the pecking order for Barca, Torres is linked with all sorts of clubs

I didn't mean he'd make up for all of it, obviously. I meant the shirt sales would make up for enough that there really wouldn't be much difference from buying Villa. But I don't want either tbh, maybe a backup winger.

We don't exactly need Villa either, although he would be nice to have...

But I understand why a lot of people aren't so keen on them splashing so much for Torres, especially with the fiasco with Ibra.

Villa is the fans number 1 choice, he would sell more shirts than Torres also.

Barca really don't need either Villa or Torres. But i think you will get Villa and he will be amazing for you. My own beloved Man City are in the position where we have to spend ridiculous amounts of money to try and get the best players to join us. We have a great youth academy, but nowhere near as great as your own at Barca.

I was amazed to see 7 out of the 11 first team players in the starting line up against Real Valladolid were academy graduates. And all of them where top class players. A couple of them where youngsters (Bojan, Pedro) who WILL be world class, And the likes of Iniesta and Messi ARE world class. It's truely mind blowing to see the talent your great club produces. I hope this is where Sheikh Mansour invests big time at City. On the already very good youth system.

There are strong rumours that a bid for Torres has been placed by City and that Liverpool will accept. It's then down to the player. And it's not as if Liverpool can offer him anything we can't. Chelsea have already said they're not interested in signing him (although i'm not too sure i believe them) and Man U and Arsenal Cannot compete with the offers Us and Chelsea can make. If Chelsea do place a bid then he will go there because they are Champions and can offer CL football.

So i think it's either us, Chelsea or he'll stay at Liverpool. I really can see Villa moving to the Camp Nou this summer (probably after the world cup). So i don't think you will bid for Torres. Plus he says he wants to stay in England. But as we all know. What a player says and what he does are sometimes very different.

We shall see. Only time will tell. I think he will stay at Liverpool for another year but we can dream LOL.

Any way congrats on the league title and hope to see you in the CL in a couple of years. My Man City with a great team playing Barca in the CL final with two very strong teams playing a classic match would be a dream come true.

LFC won't accept City's bid unless they raise it higher than Chelsea's. And Torres probably wouldn't want to go to City anyway because they are not a title-winning team. We might bid for Torres if Rosell is elected president, since he has expressed an amount of interest in him. Torres has said before that he wants to stay in England but recent comments make me wonder otherwise, as I have said several times before.

And thank you, I agree that our youth system is second to none :)

If City wanted then they could treble anything Chelsea are willing to offer. Plus Torres joined Liverpool who haven't been a title winning side for almost 20 years. There is nothing Liverpool can offer Torres that we can't. You may not hear what the opinions of people in England are But apart from all our jealous rival fans pretty much everybody thinks City will win the Title within the next couple of years and Torres knows this too. Like i say, I think he will stay at Liverpool for at least another year and i certainly don't think he wants to go back to Spain. He says playing in the EPL is what he always dreamed of.

P.S. Are you an American girl who likes Footy? If so then you should definitely be crowned 'Coolest girl in history' :)
