Torres will be eaten up alive in Serie A, I don't know what in the world you guys are talking about.

Torres would be a good fit on Milan actually, much more so than a Spanish team. He won't get the space he gets in England but his speed could serve a balanced system like Milans. He's probably at his best in the EPL though.

No where near the needed technical ability to defeat Italian defenders and no where near the strength to hold off the players. There is a reason he succeeds in England and that is because he pierces through defenders with pace. In Italy, the positioning is too good to allow him any comfort.

Perhaps as a poacher he would do well since his finishing is up there with the best of the best.

Considering right now the only time I really watch Serie A is if I need to go to sleep when I'm not tired, maybe Torres going there would make it interesting for me

Although I would hate to be one of those people who supports a team, whichever one it may be, only because of one player. And you're right, that type of defending is not something he's accustomed to, although that doesn't mean he can't learn. it would be a gamble, but it's possible. I still stand by the fact that I don't believe he'll leave EPL for the time being though.

With the excuse of all Spaniards and all those who sympathize with Torres, I just don't find him to be a world class player... Every single season is going to be the season when he will finally breakthrough, but then come injuries or team's poor form and he ends up with a decent season instead of an awesome season... He has touches of greatness and is a good player overall without a doubt, but I'm not convinced he can carry a team all by himself, I know he wouldn't need to do that in our team, but still...

What do you think he has been doing with Gerrard since 2007/8? those 2 have carried us and its took its toll on him.

Seeing as serie a isn't what is used to be and seeing as people under rate his technical abilities I believe he would score a bagful in serie a.

Truthfully speaking, it will be down to Torres' only weakness, his rapid frustration. He will be marked out and double teamed with little space and that will quickly boil his blood.

Although he could knock in quite a few headers.

Well yes injuries ruin him... he would have raped EPL this season if he hadn't been injured, just watch the first part of Liverpool's season... hat-tricks and all :)

He is world-class though, especially for what he has to deal with.

Carrying you to what? 7th place?

Don't get me wrong, he is a nice player with skills, just one step below of world class... I don't expect to start a flame war, I was just saying, you know... Glad he scored today, though, it will be great for his confidence looking forward the world cup...

I stand by that Torres is a second tier striker. High second tier but he's very good, not great. Spain will be glad to have him back though.
My point about Milan is that I think he's make a good target man that Ronaldinho and Pirlo could feed.

He looks much better IMO, no longer like an English woman.

If not for Torres/Gerrard, Liverpool wouldn't even be in 7th place, they would be out of Europa league even... and they would probably be higher if Torres was not injured, maybe even CL next season if he had played every match but you never know.

If you follow Torres as much as I do you will see that he really is world-class, both at league and international level, not the best in the world (that honor goes to Messi) but surely one of them.

He looks much better IMO, no longer like an English woman.

I still prefer his old look but I am getting used to the new one, no longer a shock to me, so I think it is growing on me now.
