Or they amend the FFP rules so that certain countries ie the EPL can only have so much of tv deal money used in FFP.

The power rests with the other teams in Europe. They should force the issue with UEFA or threaten to break away in a European League minus English teams.

Something definitely needs to be done as other leagues cant follow the example of the English league when they are put in the FFP straitjacket. The English league had years and years to build up clubs like City and Chelsea without any restrictions and when other leagues want to do the same, the FFP is put into place.

Bertus, who owns PSG, just out of curiosity? 100% by the Nasser family? So PSG is his private entity, not a corporation/company that sells shares like Bayern, in that sense?

No sarcasm whatsoever. However, I am just thinking that it is not fair to other clubs that do not receive this sort of money/investment. In the long run nobody can compete with PSG since there is no end in the money they will be getting, I guess.

Nasser's family? PSG is 100% owned by QSI (Qatar Sports Investments), and QSI is owned by Al Thani, who's the current Qatar Ruler.

PSG owned by the royal family of Qatar. Nasser is just an employee and only got this position (among others) because he is friend with the Emir.

Of course bayern is for FFP because otherwise german league is doomed.(50+1 Rule). So if FFP wasnt there 50+1 rule would go which would mean opponents in the league and bayern wouldnt be able to rob the best german players for cheap anymore

Horrible club

Like those players would have stayed in their clubs if Bayern wasnt interested...They would have just gone abroad and then Bayern would sign someone else instead.

That depends how you look at it. Football clubs are seen as any other companies around in most countries. If you want it to change, for example in Europe, Bruxelles has to vote to change their status.

For now, the FFP is illegal in many countries because Football Clubs have the same status as other companies. Many lawyers, and assocs filled complaints to bring UEFA to the european court, and Platini knows he will lose if he doesn't change things.

I'm not talking about being pro or against here, but Platini should have been aware of the laws and that people would fill complaints.

Where does he say in that transfer fees should not be included?

It appears he thinks that the current rules stop rich owners being able to get clubs back on feet and would like a change to rules to help those clubs.

Thats just from translate though.

I still think this will all lead to break up of UEFA.

The majority of clubs want FFP, if Platini loosens the rules to allow rich owners to have a bigger and bigger influence they wont just sit back and let it happen.

If Platini cant have any control over implementing the FFP rules then good luck trying to keep UEFA together as we know it.

If Platini doesn't amend it, it will lead to a new Bosman's case either this winter or in 2016 because UEFA will lose in a tribunal.

So what to do?

It doesnt stop there though. The clubs who do want it can threaten to break away from UEFA or set up their own competitions.

The clubs that want it tend to be the biggest clubs with most power.

Why would most clubs want FFP? Leagues need foreign investors if they want to bring in stars and compete. The Italian league is dying with no outside investors willing to spend big money and big names like AC Milan and Inter are just a shadow of their former selves. If the leagues continue to deny foreign investors the chance to attract stars to their league, they will suffer in the end, and players will end up in England instead.
