I don't think Vilanova's much different, just a little more conservative because he's new, he has to establish himself, and he had to at least win the league, since Barca lost it last year.
Of course, Barca has to rotate. It's a no brainer. I don't know what kind of quack sports medicine has convinced Guardiola and Vilanova that their teams don't need rotation! Rotation is necessary and they need to make whatever adjustments they need to to training and tactics to make this possible.
Mind you, this year, rotation was even more necessary because, apart from physical considerations, the team was stuck in a mental rut.
