It must be apparent that Tito is prepping Adriano as our back-up CB next season. He is a valued utility player and this is further enforced by Adriano's contract extension.

Tito believes that Adriano has done a good job as CB and that's why he will continue to use him there.

I can well imagine a scenario of a Centre-Back pairing of Adriano & Mascherano.

It'll happen, you wait and see.

Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't pick up a new CB because "we made it to the CL semis and won La Liga". Seeing Adriano at CB was seriously infuriating.
Tito needs to step down ASAP

We will be the laughing stock of Europe again.

How to fix Barcelona:

1. Buy a good CB
2. Cut Xavi's playing time down to where it's even with Thiago but start a fresh Xavi in the most important matches
3. Sell Villa, Cuenca, Afellay, JDS, and Valdes
4. Buy good goalkeeper
5. Loan Deulofeu to Dortmund for a year
6. Give Tello and Montoya increases in minutes. Montoya could get minutes at both RB and LB.

Player for player changes won't mean much without actual changes to the tactical system. We've lost the 6 second rule, we've lost most off the ball movement during buildup play, our tiki taka has been very rare to be honest, and our wingers continue to struggle taking the scoring load off of Messi due to their lack of ability to make an inward channeling run.

You both make great points and sadly the only way to accomplish all that is without Tito on the manager's seat.
Even when we were playing our best August - December we didn't resemble the side of years prior. Sure there can be a lot of contributing factors such as fatigue, age, transition, injuries and the "direct approach" we were now using. Let's face it we weren't doing anything "direct" other than passing the ball directly to Messi and he did the rest while at the other end our defense was like a broken levee.

I feel to a certain extent management has baught into their own hype. Where once there were exceptions, the exception is now the rule. Possession was a staple of tiki-taka, a means to an end, but now it has become the goal. Our team was run like a fine tuned engine and if we needed to put Yaya or Mascherano in defense it made no difference to our effectiveness. Pep being the leader that he was made it work. Now Mascherano, Song and ?ADRIANO? are regulars in central defense. Our philosophy and playing style have made us a very unique and great side. But despite that we shouldn't think we can move this far away from the basics as to not have a single CF in our side (Villa's leaving) or play midfielders/wingbacks ahead of actual CBs in defense.

I'm struggling knowing Tito will be on the bench next year. Really struggling.

Rumored that Adriano is slot for CB backup makes me sick to my stomach. He's taking the piss every time he gets on the mic.

it will be a really hard year if he stays, seems like he cannot carry barcelona as manager not only because of his health problems but generally he doesnt have a clue about coaching and this Idea making Adriano a CB is so dumb really, does he think its gonna work?

How about we do both? It's not like it has to be one or the other. And tbh, I think we need both. Player for player changes and tactical changes.

He wont cause he knows he cant get a top job anywhere else. If he cared about the team so much he would have resigned when he was ill. Which manager leaves his team alone for 2 months during their most important part of the season

that's what exactly I thought also.he is greedy and he knows he wont get another opportunity like this elsewhere.
For same reason he didn't played youth because he needs trophy to stick with job otherwise, with no tropy he wolud have been scapegoat. So he kept playing all seniors and same line ups.He knows he dont have big playing carrer to back him like pep for more chances. He is taking full advantage of opportunity he gets at barca now. That's it.

Adriano will be our new CB... I wonder how Bartra & Muniesa feel.
Aside from all the other stupid choices/lack of, for this reason alone Tito needs to be sent packing.

Tito isn't the manager who's going to help Neymar adapt to Europe or our style of play. Alexis isn't best player but Pep at least managed to get 15 goals out of him in important matches. It's not a good time to be a youth player at Barcelona.

Yeah, if those rumors about Tito being fine with not getting a CB and choosing to rely on Adriano as a legit CB option have any truth to them, Tito should be sacked immediately. Or, at the very least, the club should ignore Tito and get a CB.

Adriano should only be used at CB as an absolute emergency option.
