Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

No chance Adriano will be the new canter back.

Sanchez contributed to 24 goals this season and 20 under Pep. He has not been worse but in all honesty he doesnt suit Barca and neither does Cesc - both of whom Pep signed.

Tito to blame for a lot of things but not everything.

Guardiola to contributed to a lot of these problems not that many will admit it.

Fair enough, but it's also up to Tito to fix the issues, and from the looks of things, he's only making things worse. Much worse.

Last year we won nothing, this year looks like we'll win by the biggest margin ever. So no, things are not much worse, there's been an improvement. That's despite Tito getting his illness halfway through the season.

We've been shit in big games this season though. We were extremely unlucky against Chelsea last season, we must have hit the woodwork more times than they had shots on target. Against Bayern, however, we got owned 7-0 on aggregate and were outplayed. Same goes for the 2-0 loss to Milan and the 3-1 loss to RM.

Twelve first team players (Adriano, Pique, Mascherano, Alba, Busquets, Song, Dos Santos, Cesc, Xavi, Alexis, Pedro, Villa) featured in tonight’s Copa Catalunya final, out of 21 total participants. Only two B team players, Oier and Patric, played the full 90 minutes. Yet another perplexing example of Tito neglecting youth players – is winning the Copa Catalunya that important?Read more:*http://www.totalbarca.com/#ixzz2UoYvDoRj

we cannot take a nother season without a manager imo

To be fair last season Barca met no team even near the class of Bayern.

A lot of the problems this season were beginning to emerge last and Pep did not address them.

Pep was phenomenal for Barcelona no doubt but he left just as many of the problems and big decisions were needing to be made.

Under Pep last season - Cesc and Sanchez were signed but not really good enough/needed.

Pique was starting to switch off in games and head looked elsewhere.

Pedro and Villa were dropping in form.

An improvement he says. You must be following box scores instead of actually watching our games. There is less fluidity, less buildup from the back, less tiki taka, less players focused on collectively pressing, a coach who makes poor decision after poor decision, etc. etc. How many times does this have to be explained for people to catch on? Put it this way, you take "one player" out of our lineup this season, and we don't win jack and maybe don't qualify for QF of CL, that's how prominent our issues have become.

@barcastuff: Barcelona had last year a deal with Liverpool defender Agger, but Vilanova rejected it because it could block the progress of Bartra. [md]

lol that's the first. Block the progress of Bartra. Tito don't give Bartra a chance. Tito is a joke.

Perhaps Tito's ilness had an impact on things in that he felt that being away he could not change to many things and picked the more experienced players that could cope without him and had a proven track record. While not changing too many things tactically - again as he was not there to over see it all.

He needs to show that he is big enough to put his own stamp on this team and not rely on Peps team and players of two years ago.

The players looked stale in the big games, it looked a team who did not want it as much as the other team.

Bringing in the likes of Neymar will bring a freshness and smile back to the squad, another reason I would not mind Reina - also dont think he is as poor as some people on here think.

Time to start building a new team and address the issues of last season.

The first 2/3 months of this season will tell if Tito has learned from his mistakes and is cut out for the job. I personally have not totally lost faith yet.

I can't even begin to describe the amount of  in this...

Still, I highly doubt we would have lost 7-0 on aggregate under Pep. And I think he would have been a lot better at fixing the issues than Tito.

Also, this season's RM side has been much worse than the RM side of last season, yet we only won 1 clasico (while we only lost 1 clasico last season), not to mention we got owned 3-1 at home in the last clasico (while we owned them 3-1 in their stadium last season). And we lost 2-0 to Milan. Sure, they're a bit underrated, and they have been in great form in 2013 (I believe their only losses were 2 games against Juve and their 4-0 loss against us), but we really shouldn't have struggled against them. There's no way we would have lost 2-0 to them under Pep (or lost to them at all, for that matter), even last season.

We've been a lot worse in big games this season than we were last season.

it will be a really hard year if he stays, seems like he cannot carry barcelona as manager not only because of his health problems but generally he doesnt have a clue about coaching and this Idea making Adriano a CB is so dumb really, does he think its gonna work?

Pep made Adriano the 3rd cb in his 3-4-3 after Abidal got sick the second time.Sometime at the end of the 2010 season he played as CB too in an ordinary two man defense. He also played some games as a midfielder under Pep so I guess he didnt have a clue either and you the random internet person do.
