I believe the club's management (Rosell and Zubi and co) decided to stick with Roura as the interim coach as they thought that Tito would only leave for cancer treatment for about a month and then fully expected him to come back and coach and train as usual.

With the fight and survival that Tito is going and has to through,
this has become a very poor and erroneous judgment and mistake made by the club's top brass.
Just like the problem with the footballing team, it doesn't seem like they also didn't have some kind of plan b to deal with such circumstances.

Whatever happens, I don't think Tito will continue coaching Barça next season.

His health and life is much more important than anything relating to football today and for his future.
If he had that cancer relapse last month just about a year after the illness struck him first back in late 2012, it could strike him again in the future.

Surely Rosell's trip to meet up Tito won't be just about the impending season defining game of facing AC Milan, surely they'll be point of discussions for the next season in general.
I won't be surprised if he resigns at the end of the season, will be so if he continues.

Well, when it was announced that Tito wouldn't be back for a while, they should have gotten someone to step in IMO.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
I don't think we need a new coach now, the damage is done and would certainly be a kick in the nuts to Tito and Jordi... We MUST blaze La Liga and think for real solutions for next season, the spur of the moment decisions are not good...

Sometimes they are. For me it wouldn't be a snap judgment, since I'm seeing a rapid decline in the team's ability for a few matches now, and I think that any half-wit would have already signed a replacement weeks ago. Admittedly, at this point, no manager is going to makes us go through the next stage of the CL, but maybe a good one would avoid the stuffing we are going to get at this rate.

We do need a new coach, not to be disrespectful with a sensible topic but Tito's head won't be 100% on this job, he has so many things to prioritize now, his family and himself.
He needs to recover, we know how consuming this job is, just look at Pep and why he took a sabatical.
Rosell should act like the President he is and take this kind of decisions thinking in the long term not just the short one

La Liga is still not over. There are still 12 games, 36 points. We still have Real Madrid, Atletico away. We only have a 12 point lead.
Imo we do need a coach to finish this season.

Don't we have like 3 goals per game overall? Looking only at the La Liga matches before Tito left, it's almost 3.5.
We're definitely missing Tito IMO. IMO, the reason for our bad performance recently is a combination of bad form, the lack of a coach, and tactical inflexibility.

@Barcastuff Vilanova is now going through the hardest part of his cancer treatment. He's expected to stay in New York for another month.

Why not get an interim coach untill the end of the season? Then Tito can take his time to recover. Why not ask Pep back for 3 months and in the summer evaluate whether we should continue with Tito.

And the fact that we've been playing better teams.

We owned Atletico and Malaga. Atletico's better than Milan, and Malaga did beat them at home and tie them away.

Not to mention we tied RM in October with Adriano and Mascherano at CB.

I definitely want Tito to remain our coach for years to come but for the rest of this season, we need to hire an interim coach. A club of this size needs a real coach on the bench!!

An interim coach is out of the question, No one knows this squad better than the already existing coaching staff.
We do have a coach on the bench, And unless this interim coach has a magic trick, He can't do anything for milan's game in 10 days.
