Franck Kessie

Kessie is not a pivot so do wonder if Xavi is going for a double pivot since FDJ and Nico are more suited for a double pivot

What about him? How does he fit in at Barca? That were the questions I asked myself as I don't really watch much Serie A/Milan.. For guys who asked themselves the same: Decent article from Barca Universal. Already 2 months old, but nothing changed really.

From what I've seen, he's more of a defensive midfielder whose work is to make the tackles and pass the ball, he's good at penalties and has an okay shot. His passes aren't so impressive though. He gives me Alex Song vibes, but even Alex Song had good eyes for passes. He's free, so there's that.

Got called a racist for comparing him to Song  Good times.

Anyway, finding a pure DM is incredibly hard as most teams don't play with a single pivot. You would think we are well covered there with Busquets, Frenkie, Nico and Kessie now. Heck, we made Yaya work there, who was quite offensive as well.

We used to play with Van Bommel and Edmilson as DM and were quite dominating.

There will be life after Busquets but Pedri and Gavi/Fdj will have to adapt and carry a bigger role in organising play.

Sooner we let go of Busquets - the better. Our appetites are raising and we won't be back to the top with him in this side ever again.

Honestly, I can't comprehend his signing
I explained it a couple of weeks ago
Honest question: Have you ever watched him in WHOLE Ac Milan games?
I hope that Xavi sees something I don't in him, but I see 0 sporting logic on this.
And this comes both from watching him in AC Milan games, and from the stats

Since BBZ claimed Barca are racist they have signed Traore, Auba, Alves, Kessie and soon Mazouri.

Man is always on the ball with these things.

Trust Mister Xavi.

If he doesn't have a good time he'll be sold in 2023 and they'll make some money off him.

If he just brings work rate and physicality to the team that will be a big plus. He's different and it's clear Xavi wanted something different in midfield. He is better at closing down play than any of our current players and stronger physically too. Keita wasnt a starter here but he was a valuable squad member. Kessie can do the same.
So far it looks like we're doing a great job at transfers. Christensen and Kessie for free. That's a 100 million in transfer fees saved.

100m? How much do you think they are worth
