Free transfers usually have to get done in time because players won't just wait for summer, so makes sense to close these asap. Gavi or Araujo won't just be gone just because we didn't get their deals done first.

I'm sure the club is working on all of these at the same time anyway. Also might be about FFP for this season, maybe better to only renew them for next season?
