We got 4 midfielders to do the job of 3 midfielders. Because all midfield combinations are not good enough as a trio. We're like the 7 dwarfs, one too old, one too fat, one too slow, one too dipsy, etc.

But saying that, Kessie is a solid step-in for a mid 4 and rotation option. Imagine last season and instead we had to start Nico or Riqui TikTok.

Has to stay considering our signing limitations. Unless a 30m+ option comes. Which is possible with the inflation of the PL market.

Not that we could afford a similar replacement unless we somehow enticed Tielemens (unlikely considering 4 top PL teams are interested).
