Cant be world class every game..

Didnt look fit and tried to be too cute and make pass when should have just won ball rather than try to pass.

The fact his one poor game every so often stands out says it all.

Best player in the squad some said. 100M WC player.

Imagine if he wouldn't need to babysit Busi!

Truth is that he is a limited player tactically. He needs babysitting just as much as Busquets does. If he doesn't play in a double pivot or similar, he is lost.

Yep, he's a double pivot specialist, I think porque said it best, he's a system player that excels in a particular setup.

At Man utd, he'd be class, but in a 4-3-3, he's had about 5x more meh games, than great games, no matter if he's the pivot or a CM.

But not taking anything away from him in our 4-2-2-2, he's been playing excellent football, but that system needs busquets as much as it needs him.

We need a Busi replacement.

Without Busi this guy is a headless chicken.

And putting two kids with him is NOT a freaking solution.

Xavi should think how he as a player was doing before Iniesta and Messi rised maybe it will ring a bell in his head

Busi been just as bad recently.

FDJ did not play well but has been best player on park in that position more than once this season even if it does restrict him.

Folk pining for Busi who in last four games has been terrible and only poor finishing from Girona and Getafe stopped similar results while got dusted by Real in worst home defeat in 15 years.

FDJ didnt look fit and thats not excusing him for second goal as he needs to win ball back there before trying to be too clever with a pass.

One of the biggest issues with FDJ at DM is not him being worse than Busi but how much miss him in his normal role although not sure he would have been much better there last night as looked sluggish.. as they all did.

Get back to the midfield 4 and give Gavi a rest as he has been out of form for too many consistent games.

Pablo Torre wasn't great yesterday, but was the same level or more than Gavi basically.

FdJ and Pedri are returning from injury. But even before injury we haven't been good with a mid trident. And especially not without Dembele and paired with two widemen offering nothing.

Who plays LW if Gavi is rested? Torre?

With a 4 it's more of an interior midfielder so Torre is the closest option.

If we have a mid 3 (Frenkie-Busi-Pedri) and Xavi wants a toughline winger on the left then he could also give this guy a shot.

I don't think we are doing any benefits to Gavi development by keep playing him when he is clearly off-form. Smells more of a decision purely because we are having issues with his salary cap renewal and don't want him or his agent to get itchy feet and force a move.
