Let's say Busi does leave next summer. We would need a new DM obviously but do the club a. go on another mythical hunt for 'the next Busquets' or b. tweak the system and try a double pivot with Frenkie-new DM and actually play the player we paid 86million for in his favored position?

Sadly I think 'a' is most likely.

Frankie's idea of passing is to run 20 yards, then lay it off to the man he could have simply passed it too 😂.

He definitely has a higher pass completion rate that busquets, he had people to actually pass the ball to, not standing on 40 yards from him waiting for the ball.

Haha always someone elses fault.

'Busi didnt have anyone to pass to' when whole system is set up for him to have options and biggest issue interiors had was Busi not getting them the ball more than other way round.

Busi was left on ball often last week and fucked up many simple passes.

Not good enough.

We could sell the player we paid 80m for, who has thus care not justified his price tag and use that money to go find someone who can do the job as a single pivot.

Not a busquets clone, but their is definitely players out their who can play the pivot.

But for now play that 80m player as he doesnt put in the horror shows Busquets does.

Play him and Pedri as did today.

He is a headless chicken. NEVER will be a good fit for a Barca DM. Vacates his position too readily and makes too many mistakes. He has only one position at Barca, and that is a libero in a back 3. Sell and get Silva, honestly

Bruno from Newcastle would be worth a shout but Newcastle would never sell now that they have fuck off money

makes for a much nore dynamic team with him in the pivot. not a good performance but just from the few times he received the ball from back and managed to turn around and drive it forward, it was so clear what he brings compared to busquets.

would much rather lose the ball once in a while than spend 20 minutes not being able to play it out of the back line.

Pedri was more enabled without Busquets there to funnel everything. For that having Frenkie was a win.

But he didn't have a good game himself.

seemed a bit too eager to prove himself.

still a bit ridiculous to disqualify him on the basis that he makes mistakes that Busquets, one of the smartest pivots in history with 15 years of experience, doesn't.

prioritizing a minimum of mistakes is how you end up with an old ass midfield. as painfully proven, you can have a midfield of Busquets, Iniesta and Rakitic, three of the smartest, most reliable and technical midfielders of all time, and still get absolutely pummelled by halfwits.

I thought he looked leggy.

Not just the goal but couple times was slow to get going and move... nowhere near Busi levels but compared to what he is normally.

Pedri ran the game as allowed to get ball from deep.
