Agree with you except for the fact that if a CM got injured we only have Kessie and Torre as backup .. one that doesn?t fit our standard style and the other is an inexperienced youth

That one is on Xavi for poor recruitment if Kessie isn't good enough as backup tbh. I know people are starting to doubt him but I'll give Kessie a chance before writing him off.

Selling de jong will be a win-win situation, he's not fit for Barca.

Pretty sure he can shine in PL with more open space, rather than struggling on the bench.

Hopefully he's finally taking the hint, Chelsea & man utd are desperate for players, if he goes we better squeeze they for some Anthony money.

We can't get Bernardo anymore during this transfer window. Therefore, selling De Jong now would be the dumbest decision ever.

Agree. He is still going to cost 60m+ next summer window anyway. There are not many quality midfielders out there in the market. Keeping him adds a lot of value (especially in case Busquets or Pedri will get injured).

Fab Romano is reporting that Frenkie De DONG is NOT open to a salary cut...

He is super stubborn! This is gonna get ugly soon. I see him getting escorted in a quick operation, rather than leaving peacefully from the airport

What do you think happens?

It's different from Dembele's case as the Frenchman was necessary and Xavi's favorite. FDJ is not a priority for Xavi, I thought he'd play more.

Depends if he drops the same meh performances on the pitch or not.

if yes, I see him permanently on the bench soon with Gavi and Kessie capable of providing the same or more.
And if that happens, the pressure on him will mount even more from now until the next transfer window (january)

His agent is super stupid, like Moussa Sissoko, as he doesn't get many things about the role and the status of a player within the squad.
He thinks he can go on getting 28m gross per season while the top paid player of our new wage structure gets 19m gross

United signing Casemiro was probably the end of the De Jong pursuit. Different players of course but it now seems they are over paying for Antony and that will be their window done.

Tuchel said Chelsea don't need midfielders so he's definitely staying.
