He isnt just a "promising talent". He's a fantastic player at 19 years old. We hardly ever sign these players so the idea that we cant sign every one of them is absurd. Available at the same price we paid for Paco. He would get lots of playing time for us since he can play all 3 positions up front and Messi and Suarez are 30 years old. Since Gabriel Jesus tracks back alot unlike Messi, maybe we would play Messi behind Suarez, Gabriel Jesus and Neymar as well in some games.

Players say alot of stuff to please the fans. No player has ever said that they move to City because of money. They are told what to say. I dont buy these stories at all. If he had signed for us, he would have said he chose us because of playing with Messi, playing for the best team in the world or some other reason.

A highly versatile player like Gabriel Jesus would easily get 2500-3000 minutes in his first season for us, especially since we have zero forward alternatives and Messi in particular would also probably like to play more centrally as he ages freeing up an attacking space.

It was a massive mistake to get Paco instead of him, no question about it. We are already struggling with funds and we have to soon start making smart and savvy signings, which means buying good value players.
