Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel would cost 20+ million.I don't think we can afford that along the likes of Vietto & Gameiro. We are after CB (Umtiti) and CB prospect along a Full back .tough to think our transfer budget will cover all of those
Though Lucho decision should be essential here,if he isn't interested in giving him minutes as 4th option then he is better loaned

That's what I meant. He's the responsible sporting director in the South American area.

He isn't,he is the sport negotiator. He isn't a sport guy really.his job is all about the business side.
Whether it is a deal in SA or Europe.Sanllehi is the guy who close the deal.

I don't think anyone believes we will get all three; we certainly don't need all three either. Gabriel can cover all three positions, and it also means he is capable of getting more playing time than the other choices because of that. He doesn't have the experience though, but I rather let a young exciting player do his thing and absorb all the playing time than play Munir who has nowhere near the same ceiling. Gameiro had a good season, but how great was he before that? Both Gameiro and Vietto (overrated severely imo) will both cost as much as Gabriel....are they even better than him now? Maybe, definitely more experienced...but Gabriel can also become much more. It's an easy decision for me.

I honestly don't think we'll get any money for any of our players other than the 8mil for Bartra.

20-24mil for Gabriel.
30mil for Umtiti.

I'd be okay with spending 35mil or so on a WC fullback to replace Alves, but who would that be?
Apparently we are trying to buy Lemos for around 5mil.

95mil - 8mil = 87mil.....can we afford that? That's not counting an extra LB option. Some people think Umtiti can cover. I have no idea. All I know is Mathieu should never play LB for us, he's a good CB cover though.

Maybe we can buy Gabriel loan him to a La Liga squad or back to Palmeiras for long term option and buy Nolito for short term option. It's just a thought, idk if it makes sense.

I don't think we will be able to get Gamerio this summer.

Sevilla, doesn't want to budge from their 40 Million buyout clause and it's reported Sampaoli wants to keep him as well. Robert (Sport Director) wants him and wanted him since he was Atletico's sporting director but unless we can get him for a reduce fee as in 20-25 Million it's not going to happen.

With that money you might as well invest it in some like Gabriel Jesus. Nolito is a lost cause and Gamerio ain't coming.

Any confirmation on this?
According to TV3,BBC and The Guardian it's pretty much a done deal.

TV3 said, Nolito got tired of Waiting for Barca's offer and decided to accept Pep's offer. Gerard Romero, said Lucho wanted him but the Technical staff didn't and that's why we didn't go for him.

I think it would make very much sense, except we would need a no. 9 backup as well, and Munir would be better off on loan. Anyway, Barca, the greatest club in the world can't afford it.. After the transferban we couldn't even afford to pay the 18M for him
But getting only Gabriel Jesus wouldn't be that bad. We just have to remember that our backup-strikers this season could not finish off Villanovense, and that has to change next season. I hope Gabriel + Denis is enough for that.

This was posted by Miguel Rico yesterday.

Robert Fernandez is scheduled to travel to Brazil to see in action Gabriel Jesus (19) Palmeiras striker on which have good reports and is intended by major European clubs. Such is the interest of some suitors, the technical secretary of the club , which thought to follow during the Olympics August- may need to hasten his journey to rate and make a decision. Without their approval, the protocol does not activate any club signing.

The change of plans, which could delay his return home after having been negotiating with family Neymar does not imply that any decision has been made but it is true that if times have changed. The presence of Sanllehí in America Mineiro Palmeiras has alerted the competition is also moving fast. In that game, Gabriel Jesus scored three goals - one was canceled him - and played in all three attacking positions. Just what you are looking for Barcelona. A forequarter with guarantees covering the eventual decline any member of MSN.

It happens also that the club has the additional advantage of maintaining excellent relations with Palmeiras whose sporting director, Alexander Mattos , was in Barcelona a month ago to study the structural and sport methodology club, and took the opportunity to invite his friend Sanllehí to travel to Sao Paulo. Trip coincided with the explosion of 'case Neymar ' and the excellent moment that passes through Gabriel Jesus , a player with a buyout clause of 40 million euros for everyone but for Barca, PSG, United, Madrid and Bayern that they could take him by 24 million.

Another issue to consider - especially considering how lived with Neymar - are the federative rights of the player who are divided into four parts. His agents spread over 55%, Palmeiras has 30% and the own Gabriel Jesus , the remaining 15%. In any case, a 'technical' problem in which only enter according to the decision of Robert whose intention, as Barca, is to move as quickly as discretion, knowing that if their presence is detected in Sao Paulo they multiply the problems and increase media pressure. Let's see if he succeeds.

(Google translation sorry).

Miguel Rico is very reliable.

Robert is doing a good job so far.

Thinking outside the box and not being hell bent on one target. That's already an improvement to the last few years.

Also betting on the right horses it seems and not another Keirrison or Douglas.

Except for Gameiro.

Gameiro does make sense though if his fee was lower.

Fast #9 with a proven record of success after being subbed in. He's capable of making an impact, but his age and 30m+?

That's the issue.

Except for Gameiro.

There is no proof yet he is hell bent on him, plenty of rumors on other targets if Sevilla not interested to lower their asking price
And tbf Gameiro is a perfect fit for the club needs,a veteran who is ready to take minutes from MSN when needed who fits our system perfectly

Gamerio isn't a bad option at all. it's just his fee (40 Million buyout clause) and Sevilla, doesn't want to lose him either.

Gabriel jesus, would be one of those buys for the future. same deal we are trying to do with finding a second CB (Davison,Lemos, Hernandez).
