Gareth Bale

Lemon curry?
I'm wondering that too. Özil is Özil and Di Maria has been really strong, plus I think Ronaldo wants to keep him? Well, I don't really see how Bale is a worthwhile addition if either Di Maria or Özil has to make place for him... Just doesn't seem right. Especially since Özil is one of my favourite players, I don't want to see him sitting on the bench. But on the other hand, I wouldn't mind him leaving Madrid either, of course.. :pep:

the price is ridiculous yet some people defend it, sad
There's no defending for that price and it doesn't define to what actually Bale is worth in any means. This price comes with the excuse of just one great season and carrying Tottenham all the way, but most exactly cause he is a player like Ronaldo they think he can reach the same levels and better ones, this is a very hard task. By every angle you see it it's crazy, cause you can't base this kind of price just on assumptions that he might be someday like Cristiano Ronaldo. And besides that, Perez cares about individual entertainment. He thinks 2 players of this style can make people more interested of watching them, based on football reasons Bale is not needed to them.. This transfer happens for all people to have eyes on Madrid.

I must admit that Mino Raiola and Daniel Levy are fantastic businessman, they manage to sell mediocre products as if it were gold

Hi, its me..
André Villas-Boas has admitted that Gareth Bale's transfer to Real Madrid will go ahead and for "world record" money, as he said that only the fine-tuning over the contracts needed to be finalised.

The Tottenham manager betrayed his exasperation at Real's behaviour in recent weeks and, also, that of Bale, who did not report to Tottenham's training ground on Tuesday or Wednesday. Villas-Boas made it clear that he would like to see Bale fined. He also said that Bale had said his goodbyes to his team-mates ahead of his £86m move.

He seems very intent on going to Madrid. Skipping training, saying goodbye to teammates. If i were tottenham, I'd take the 100 mil. Cash in the bank especially that amount is better than hanging on to a want-away player.

Price is no longer a reliable measuring instrument for how good a player is. Instead, I'd say it measures how badly the buying team wants him and how much the selling team needs to be motivated to sell.

Andy Carroll perfectly illustrates this. Liverpool had 24 hours to spend their Torres money, and Newcastle had absolutely no reason to sell. It would only take a ridiculous offer to take their best player (at the time) away, and 35 mil did it. Spurs are a very well run club, and have no reason to sell aside from insane money. That's what it takes, and that's what Perez is willing to do.

Its gonna be hilarious seeing both Ronaldo and Bale demanding the ball on the wing, cutting inside and shooting 10 times per game. Lord have mercy for the fans behind the goal!

How can you pay 80mil for Ronaldo, not even considering how well he's done for the club, and
Spend even more on a player who hasn't proven
Anything compared to him and is a fraction of
The player....too funny Madrid.
