I got a ban for this when I said it in the Neymar thread. NO IM NOT TROLLING, But I'm wondering how many people here think it's true at all?
Bale has relaxed into his role and taken the pressure with ease. He's not been a phenomenal signing, but I feel this season he's just settling in, next year he will want to explode.

he's better than Ronaldo was at his age, I wonder how he will progress.
Neymar is far behind him unfortuantely for us, but his ceiling is higher.

Real Madrid is the best solution for Bale because it's an counter attacking team. His goal was possible because he had to beat only 1 man and had ton of space where he could do it with his speed. Put him in a Barca jersey where he will have to play against parked busses every game and he won't do shit.
And it's not like he was world class all season long. He was mediocre - bad against good teams but this goal will change everything in the eyes of the media and fans.

Ronaldo at his age finished the season with 51 goals having scored 31 goals in 34 games in the premier league , 8 goals in 11 games in the CL. Won the premier league and the CL in which he had a big impact . Won the Ballon d'or.
It's not even close.

Ronaldo had a team built around him at United whereas Bale doesn't yet he's still performing incredibly, it's his first season too.
Neymar definitely hasn't showed as much in his first season at barcelona - will this change next year ? hopefully yes.

Yes.... it's obvious that Bale is better than Ronaldo was at 24 even though Ronaldo had won the Ballon d'or at that age and performed constantly well against big teams. Bale plays like shit in the last 2 games against Barcelona and also against other big teams but he scores a goal against Barcelona where he had to dribble a player having 40 m free space where to do so , and suddenly he's better than Ronaldo.
Give me a break.
Bale is a great player but you're taking it too far.
