If they could bottle the feeling of scoring a last minute 25 yard winner away from home they'd make a million pounds.

If Madrid want him then they have to deal with Levy who'll extract the most amount of money possible.

I doubt Bale would want to move if spurs reach CL and on an upward curve.

I think Bale will end up at Madrid. It's just bound to happen. He's already flattering Real and kissing Ronaldo's ass. But he's still overrated IMO.

how can anyone say he's overrated ?! Do you have eyes ? The man is leading Spurs to 4th place with his goals, maybe even 3rd ! His freekicks are masterpiece, it's almost like a penalty for him. On what basis do you think he's overrated? I can name a few overrated players- Torres, Sanchez, Modrić, Carroll ... but Bale ?

He's in red hot form, but the English media are trying to hype him up as the big star of the EPL comparing him to Messi & Ronaldo, it's really rather lame.

Let's see him do it consistently please before it gets out of hand. It's already embarassing.

Comparing him with those two is out, impossible. Maybe in a few years, and in a bigger club, but i doubt it. But he certainly isn't overrated when compared with EPL players(stars of their clubs) like Mata, Hazard, Rooney, Casorla, Fellaini, Michu... I'm only not sure about RvP and Suarez. Interesting he has 15 goals (great stuff considering he's not a striker) to Suarez's 18, and RvP's 19.

Evil English media myth brought into it again

English media are just saying what everyone else is saying, people said Ronaldo-esk after some of his performances before the papers even printed it, infact people here said it as it happened!

End of the day Bale recent weeks as been doing some special things, something the Premier League hasn't seen since Ronaldo left.

Of course it's wrong to say he's up there with Messi and Ronaldo as he's not been consistent as those 2 and done it for as long as them, but it's not wrong to say he's playing at a World Class level right now and at the level those 2 are right now and how many can do that? He's certainly the 3rd best player of that kind behind those 2 and if Ronaldo's worth £80m he must surely be worth £50m.

As for Madrid getting him in the near future, maybe. But that's only because he's one of few British players who would have no problem playing abroad in their prime, he said it in an interview before.

what does 'of that kind' mean?

Ronaldo/Messi/Nani/Hazard/Neymar/Ronaldihno etc

The flare skillful type players, the type of players who who tend to cost the most & produce moments of brilliance.

Nani ? the guy doesn't even play. But ok, different opinions are healthy :)

You obviously haven't seen much of him then.

On his day, as good as any player in the world and easily capable of winning the game by himself.... and that's not being melodramatic. It's just unfortunate that for every amazing performance, he then has two or three frustratingly mediocre games after that.

If he could build on the consistency he showed a season or two ago and stay injury free, he'd be a world beater.
