Gareth Bale

I hope he stays. I dont want us to face a Real Madrid side playing with Ronaldo, Ozil, Aguero and Bale in attack.
Unless they intend to spend more than 100 million on 2 players they aren't getting aguero and bale.. and thats very very unlikely.

I'm afraid they recuperated much of it through merchandising (even for Kaka). And they will make a fortune should they sell Ronaldo this summer.
When you consider that and look at Ronaldo's performances I think he was a superb signing for Real Madrid. Coming from UK, Bale is also highly marketable product and he also has the potential of being a class signing.

When it comes to finances, Perez is a genius.

Oh yes definitely. I used it as an argument to show that they are very well capable of spending over 100M, not that they've spent so much recently that they are unable to do it again. I now realize it was ambiguous.

For Spurs, now would be the best time to sell Bale. He's at the height of his prime, is on a long contract, and won them 26 points this season. If Madrid buy him, it'll be for 40+ million, which is better than what United or Chelsea would get him for. Plus it would be a smart move to get him out of the premier league, so he doesn't take points off them later on. Look at us -- RVP basically won United the league, and took 4 points off us in the process.

if bale was available i am sure united/chelsea/city would be willing to spend over £40 million for him, they would compete with madrid in terms of the finances that is for sure, it would come down to where bale wants to go, i don't think he would go to chelsea/city when madrid/united are on the table, it won't just be about money for him i don't think, you can see he works his ass off in training and wants to make the most of his career.

in my humble opinion when he moves it will be madrid or united, smart money would be on madrid as levy will make it very difficult and expensive for united, but at the end of the day he is welsh not spanish/portugese, he grew up watching giggs at united, he is not like c.ronaldo who grew up dreaming about playing for madrid, he'll go where he wants to go wether the spurs chairman likes it or not...

Another English club would be a more attractive option for Bale. He doesn't have to move to a different country, be away from his family, learn a new language, etc. while still getting the benefits of league titles and champions league football. Also, both United and Chelsea aren't hurting for a winger/striker right now, and can afford to wait a year or two. By then they'll be able to bully spurs into letting him go for a lower price.
