no he isn't. take that last goal for instance, that play was drawn up and the Sunderland fell for it so naively, not to say it wasn't a great shot n all.

the players were instructed to bunch away from bale to isolate his man from his support and it worked perfectly. lol the poor fools on sunderland had no idea how to mark in that move from AVB.

Well, Bale/Mata and RVP are very different players. RVP is without a doubt a better striker (finishing, heading, weak foot, shot) but mata/bale are better at dribbling, passing, ball control etc.

Bale is the best in the league for sure, I'd say Mata and Suarez 2nd, followed by RVP. I hope Ronaldo comes back to the PL next season, Ronaldo vs Bale would be great competition... I imagine Bale will improve another 20% next season again.

I meant he doesn't need a pinpoint pass to score a goal.
Now, look at our style of play, and when the opposing side is deeply defending (aka parked bus), imagine him on the ball on 20-25 meters instead of Xavi, Cesc, Pedro, Sanchez. The opposition would have to cover him, leaving muuuuch space for Messi. So either way it's deadly. I'm telling you, player like him would do wonders for our attack. That probably wont happen in real life, but the dream is nice

Hope you're right but don't think so. He on the right and CR on the left would destroy our defence with speed. He is not in the sam class technically as some of our players, that's true, but he is powerfull and isn't that the thing that Bayern had over us and destroyed us?
