He's not even the best in the PL imo. It's either Suarez or RVP.

The way he improved is insane. In 2008, he was a raw left-back who had never won a single game with Spurs. He was seen as a bad luck charm (they lost or drew any game he featured in). AC Milan wanted him that summer, but only wanted to pay something like a couple million so Spurs kept him. Now he's a 50 million+ player

There's no doubt he's a great player, probably the 3rd best in the PL (after Suarez and RVP), but calling him the 3rd best in the world is ridiculous and overrating him WAY too much IMO.

I sincerely doubt it. Bale will then play with others who are just as good or better than him so he will have to show what he is truly worth, imo.

Hope you're right but don't think so. He on the right and CR on the left would destroy our defence with speed. He is not in the sam class technically as some of our players, that's true, but he is powerfull and isn't that the thing that Bayern had over us and destroyed us?

There's a good chance that Ronaldo will leave next season. Plus, we should have a better defense next season with a better CB pairing (hopefully) and perhaps Montoya starting over Alves.

Agree with Montoya, ALves is all over the place. BUT, there's a BUT, if we clone 10 best defenders in to one we wouldn't sort our defending problems, because system, whole defending as a team is problem, that means managment not only players. There is no defender in the world that can defend successfully 90mins 1 on 1, and our defenders are left 1 on 1 all the time. Bale's speed and power is like krypton for that kind of defending. And I actually like Neymar, and want him, but we need power - Bale looks to me just that.
