If Lamela deal is re-confirmed it means Spurs already spending Bale's money ..

Well. According to RMC:

- Levy and Perez are just acting but both parties want this transfer.
- Perez doesn't want to pay 100 millions, but will sure pay a lot.
- They didn't even mention the MU rumors.
- In their opinion, Bale is not transfered because Madrid needs him but for other reasons.
- Perez wants Bale as a gift to the socios.
- They think Madrid will get money thanks to Bale.
- Hermel said again how Madrid is the richest club in the world.

TL DR This transfer is happening, as expected.

Levy would negotiate with Man U just to help drive the price up for Madrid. There's a lot of money at stake, more than any other transfer in history so it's unsurprising that this is dragging on. The deals for Cristiano and Neymar had been largely negotiated the year before so they could happen quickly. The Bale transfer has only gathered momentum this summer.

Levy is also in the strongest position. If the deal doesn't happen, then he has Bale for another season and a better shot at getting into the Champions League. If it does happen then he gets a lot of money. Either way, he wins. If Madrid want him now, then they are going to have to pay more than they'd like. But if they are prepared to wait, then this would help lower his price next season.

Spurs will say we're not selling, we're negotiating with Man U, we want a high price, we want all the money now blah blah.
Real Madrid will say he's not in our plans, we can't raise the money from the banks, the price you are asking is too high blah blah.

It's all negotiating tactics to get the best price possible. Either Madrid think he's the man they need this season in which case they are gonna pay a price that Spurs want. Or they are just doing all this in the hope that they can get him cheaper next year. In which case there's a good chance they'll go for Suarez as their big signing for this season.
