Still dont think the way he is playing at Everton translates to Barca.

He gives the ball away a lot as his main job is to get ball in as quick as possible to Lukaku. Thats what the vast majority of his success this season has been based on.

The way he plays for Everton works for them as it is getting them goals through the link up with Lukaku but the likes of Messi, Suarez and Neymar would go crazy at how often he gives away ball doing that. It is not the style they thrive in at all.

I don't think we will see the best of Gerry until next season when he's physically ready to play a whole premier league season and has already had a season playing with the same team mates and club environment.

I know but I still can't see Barca bringing him back this summer. If you watch him every week you would see that he's still not ready to step up to Barca's level and he's developing well. Barca have a buyback for another year so it doesn't really make sense for anyone to use it this summer.

I don't believe the buyback is mandatory. So Gerard would have to agree to a new contract with Barca, which he could refuse. That's what I base my assumption on.
