When did I ever disagree that we need a defender? The difference was on our choice of defender.

No. Pique stays. This always happens. We always scream for a player to go eg Yaya Toure. , then blame the management that they let him go. The reason he seems so bad with us is because these players are of very high standards. Look at Bayern, they've been behind Boateng for years ( he's worse than Pique ) and now he's starting to repay that faith.
You guys have no idea how amazing Pique will be at another club simply because fans there would idolize him. We have become arrogant sometimes because of the success of the last 4 years. We will not go back to that time anytime soon. Its Bayern time , just like it was Barca's before that , and Manchester United before that , and Inter , and Madrid , and Milan ... so on.
We need to appreciate our players. For example , people wanted who ? Luiz, and now he's terrible this season. Thiago Silva is a different player than he was before his injury. Pique is up there with the best defenders in the world and he proved that against Madrid. Cherish him and keep him and not call for his head every time he plays slightly bad. No-one can play amazing for ever ( maybe Messi

I agree. Pique has been decent or good in his latest matches. He's improving. He was the only one showing to care against Ajax. He's playing better paired with Bartra, they have a better understanding than pique-masch.

For the record i dont want Pique to leave i just want some competition for him and that he should have to sweat to get into the starting lineup
Nobody would blame the mngt if he goes or is relegated to the bench if we buy a competent defender and see that we had to make do with his mediocrity for so long
Except that Pique was never world class and will never be. A prime Puyol and excellent Abidal made him look better. Boateng was nowhere near as bad as Pique. Pique has no pace, is useless in the air and lately even his positioning is bad

No we are just tired of Pique's continuing mediocrity and how his spot is secure and he doesnt have to push himself to get into the team. He should have been the leader of our defence now playing with Puyol for so long. But even a youngster Bartra is out performing him.
Barca's problem is not appreciating players. It's that they appreciate them too much. There are too many untouchable holy cows in the team like Xavi, Pique, Masch etc. who are holding us back from achieving our true potential. We are wasting the prime years of Messi. We should try to win as many trophies with him as possible as we may never get a player like him again. But we dont surround him with a team worthy of him. Its clear that many players are too old, have no legs left, are past their prime or no longer have the hunger and motivation to push themselves. Zubi and Rosell in their infinite wisdom think that we cant survive without Xavi so instead of finding a replacement they want to hold onto him for as long as possible hampering future prospects like thiago
