Gerard Piqué

DonAK

President of FC Barcelona
It was sooooo disrespectful that a 100% Madridista and hothead Carvajal said he thought it wasn't any disrespectful. Not to forget Casillas having no problems with Pique either.

Merengues need to stop getting their panties in a bunch over little things, especially when they themselves have made more douchey comments after a rare success these days.

Casillas/Ramos probably likes the comment from Pique anyway.

Was said at time a lot of Madrid players were not happy with him partying hours after 4-0 defeat.

It is hardly as smear campaign against Pique really.

The media are always going to report him making those kind of comments.

As much as it was funny to hear he would be very naive not to have expected a bit of a backlash. Just retire from Spain and let them deal with it. Nothing more to win.

Are you following madrid media(tv and newspapers), jamdav? If you were, you'd know they are commenting more about Pique's joke than about our treble.

Can't blame them Flavia, Pique gave them something to write about and they did. Just look at the Marca article, 3000+ comments. More than the CL victory.

Of course they will as it takes away the focus but all they are doing it repeating what he said so difficult to call it a 'smear campaign'.

The whole focus of it is to take attention away from treble rather than to destroy Pique or have a campaign against him

He has said worse in past I think. Something along the lines of them having respect for Barca as they won them the World Cup.

He should just retire from Spain anyway.

Vicepresident of the freaking RFEF just commented that it's normal that the public whistles Piqué even if it's spain playing

The Spain NT is a really weird case. Imagine how freaking stupid it must feel to be hated by the supporters of the NT you're playing for.

The fact that he is for Catalunya's independence, that he wears Catalunya's flag everytime he wins a title and the fact that we made the treble makes it really hard to swallow for Spanish fans, particularly the one's who live in Castilla, Andalusia etc.

But tonight there was a lot of Madridistas at the stadium. We heard many times songs in favor of Madrid players "Iiiiisco" and "Sergio Ramos".

The focus is both. rm players do worse and they obviously don't talk about it. When it's someone from barça, they make a circus. I doubt Pique cares, he's probably smiling inside. But madrid media are encouraging the whistles, boos and whatnot.
