Gerardo "Tata" Martino

Tata cant win, can he?? No matter what he does he gets flak. Seriously Tito should have been around. We would have been torn a new one. Tata has won or drawn all the big games so far. There is still work to be done but so far so good.

Criticising him for starting Neymar and not making brave decisions is justified. Don't be a holier than thou

This isn't even his team and his won when it matters.

I just dont understand some of you. Real Madrid spent over 180mil this summer with new manager in charge and they got beaten twice by "rookie" south american manager.
In UCL we played against relevant teams unlike some . Heck we were underdogs going into City game but the tie was over with first leg.

I think it's a problem with the players mentality. They just think they have to turn up against weak teams to win. Only thing Tata can do is bench them but sadly he doesn't have the guts.

bench who? our squad is very very thin. we are not Real or City.

I would say we need Tata for at least another year with some new fresh legs to buy in the summer. This guy will do wonders!

Even better yet, the eyebrow, who, at the beginning of the season driveled something about Tatas' lack of experience, effed his tactics/subs up yet again against the "rookie". Not to say that Tatas' approach was flawless btw., but I find this highly amusing.

I hear you, but IT'S NOT so far so good. Having won 6 out of 6 points against Real Madrid and STILL be 1 point behind them is a clear indication that something WAS NOT right this season.

Yup but injuries to your beat players and then them having to gain form back tend to do that plus a lacklusture bench and shitstorm surrounding the club didn't do Tata any favors

Yes lets bench Busi with Song,Cesc with Roberto, Mascherano with Bartra and Alves with Montoya not to mention the useless midget Messi with the oh so great Tello that will show the team right?

It has nothing to do with lack of guts. Bench them and play whom? Barca bench is awful. Last time he "benched" them and played the reserves, team got ran over in Anoeta.

I have no problem with his decision to start Neymar. I personally would have liked Pedro instead, but I can see his reasoning, and he is after all the coach. He is much better prepared and informed to make decisions about the team than anyone on this forum.

Not only was this the exact same lineup of the last City game where the team played so well, but Neymar came off the bench in the first City game at Etihad, and the team played better then too. That formation has been proven to work.

On top of that, Barcelona will need Neymar before the season is through. Sitting him in the most important La Liga game of the season, vs the vaunted rival, is not going to improve Neymar's confidence.

These are all factors. The team won, and while Neymar did not play well, he contributed. I think complaining about this after the positive result is a bit unreasonable.

Tata is a brilliant coach. Deal with it.

If he makes his transfers in the summer(centre-backs especially), he'll conquer the Europe.

Or crash and burn. But then we have legit reasons to criticize him.

This is very much the case. When looking at City, Real, Chelsea, PSG I see benches that are way beyond our level. Who are our subs? Sergi Roberto, Tello, Song, Pinto and one of Neymar, Pedro or Alexis. Only the latter are really good, the others are quite a bit below the level of what you would expect from a team like Barcelona.

Happy to see him with a smile on his face :). I admit that I was angry about him after the several losses but I think that he prooves that he is a really good manager.
