Gerardo "Tata" Martino

Selling Deco and Ronaldinho was one of the best decisions Pep and previous board made. I don't feel anything like that would be allowed to happen this time.
Which "black sheep" could we sell now though? Alves? He's nowhere as bad as Ronnie and Deco were back then tbh.

fabregas pedro should be sold, xavi should play unimportant liga matches at home, alves the same.
1 gk, 2 cb, 1 midfielder and one atacking player is needed

Some might have said Pique, but I think he has been very good this in general.

Cesc frustrates me. Sometimes it feels he is a victim of the style, but other times feels like he is the problem.

Alves (problem with this is where can you find a great rb going forward)
Masch
Cesc (maybe, but probably not)

Tata is just a scapegoat. No pre season, no signings, no stability. No defence, no bench. Constant turmoil on the administrative level and a team that cannot motivate itself even for the big games. You could bring in any manager in the world today and the result would be the same.

This.

It's crazy to think that even that 2008 squad, which had lots of injuries and major motivation issues with every player, still managed to make the CL semis... and we lost by a scoreline of only 1-0 over two legs...

Also, you can't compare that squad to the squad we have now. A complete cleanout wouldn't work. These are la masia players and it will be hard to find talent anywhere near the level of Pedro, Cesc, or anyone else in our squad that will come at a reasonable cost.

The board doesn't just sit there and think to themselves "ok, we need to play football manager now". It doesn't work that way. There are a lot of issue to think about, politics being the main issue. Cleaning out la masia would send a bad message to all the kids next door camp nou training their asses off.

I still think it's the board that's the main issue. I hate to say it, but nothing can really change that until 2016. Everything will remain the same for two more years, but this is a big part of being a sports fan: You have to stick with your team with the highs and lows.

Martino didn't have lunch with the team today. He continued to analyse videos of Atletico games at his hotel room [md]

It's difficult when the board's desicions don't respresent the same principles the club used to the past decade.Ever since Florentino Perez started the Galacticos 2.0 project we have been competing against Madrid in a war we can never win. This started with Ibra and unfortunatelly continues to this day.The club needs to go back to its roots.Give Masia players a chance, make smart and cheap transfers (Deco,Dinho,Etoo) and get a manager who has winning mentality. And yes it's that easy,it's football not rocket science. If AM and BVD can compete in the same level with 1/5 of our budget then surely a team with Messi,Iniesta,Busi,Pique and co can get back on it's feet asap.

The question is wether the players or the coach are responsible for the lack of ambition. Just look at Dortmund yesterday. They played with Kirch, Durm and Friedrich and without so many players and showed a sensational performance. And they were already 3 goals behind. Our team did not even try to do something. Tata recently said that there is no need for him to motivate the players because they do it theirselves. But coaches like Klopp and Simeone bring the right attitude and the right mentality which we lacked in many games.

Yep, that seem to be a big minus of Tata here at Barca. He simply could not do that on many occasions now...
