Yes for the moment I guess. I doubt we will be benching Villa for Rossi but imagine bringing him on later in games? Damn. And im sure he will start as well. He can start for anyone of our front 3. It gives us the ability to rest our trident a LOT more and keep everyone fresh. And if Villa or Pedro just aren't doing very good then Rossi will be able to step up. Villa is older now and through the season will no doubt tire out. When that happens Rossi will be a STORM of fresh air for the team. I agree the price is pretty high but I thnk he is very capable of proving himself worth every penny.
Will he? That remains to be seen.

20m plus players is great deal.. But, not important players for us.. If it is boyan (on loan only!) and some youngster like montoya (on loan) then ok..

Rossi will add a lot to the team.. like clinical dribble and finishing, which we lack from villa...

Rossi is not better at anything than Villa. Rossi will go through dry spells as well and as soon as he does everyone will want him out and compare him to Eto'o, Ibra, Villa and all the other strikers that have ever played for Barca. Typical.

i'm not opposed to the deal but i really want sanchez in barca, he's too good. the positives of this could be that bojan goes to villarreal which i think is the best team for him to shine in (on loan/buyback)

Rossi is NOT clinical. do you even watch Villarreal? the guy fluffs oodles of chances! and how many goals has he scored against Barcelona or Real Madrid, btw? not convinced he has the plums for the big occasions. I mean Villa had a great CV against Barça and Madrid while at his previous clubs.

if we absolutely MUST sign someone from Villarreal I'd take Nilmar every day of the fucking week and twice on Sundays.

I have more confidence in Sanchez as a finisher than Rossi, because Sanchez is scoring his goals from a more withdrawn position whilst also assisting a high-scoring striker. so the idea that he could be clinical if played in a more advanced wing-forward role is plausible.

Yeah I remember he missed 2 great chances on us that were saved by Valdes. But the talent is there. He has the speed, skill and technique, and a good eye for goal. Despite there being others possibly more suitable to be transferred IF this does happen I doubt many people will be dissapointed. Can anyone really picture this guy failing playing with our players? He just had his breakthrough season and if he starts training with Barca I can only see good things coming from it.
Don't know much about Sanchez.

I would have definitely preferred Sanchez and I'm pretty sure he would've been cheaper. Not totally against Rossi though, definitely adds some real quality to our frontline, 35 mil is overkill though no question.

I'm gonna go as far as saying the dude is a bit overrated, he is very good don't get me wrong, but is just a tad overrated. His age is a huge plus for sure though, he can definitely improve in Barca...

Yeah I don't think he is a 35 million dollar striker. But im curious to know how he could evolve at Barca...IF he can. The idea of him making it at Barca and being a main prong in our trident is very exciting though I won't lie. I think he can do it. I like his style and just see him being a great fit at Barca. He's had some really impressive goals this season. And his dribbling and pace is awesome.

I think it's a amazing deal.... Barça has a tight squad and if a forward is injured or suspended we are in slight trouble and things get a little cramped.

About people complaining about a backup of 30 mil.... we have the best team in the world... do you expect us to be able to buy starting 11 players... no... because we already have the best players in the world.... We just need to strengthen our bench and keep the boys sharp. Rossi is not cheap at all but at least we will have filled that o so wanted striker spot... I would have preferred Neymar but Rossi is superb too. Now only a new defender in place of Milito(Amorebieta?) and a nice back who can play at both sides(Maxwell has been shit)
