No need for an underdog title considering both Madrid's dog shit form. Xavi with an inform Yamal and Raphina at the start would have played very good football as well (like that bum Spain coach). And no way we would have won 1 in 6 ffs.

But yep, what's done is done. Nothing lost yet.

(The 2nd place in CL group stages kind of makes me mad though )

I meant prior to the season. We were clear underdogs on paper. He even said it, pissing off Laporta.

Speaking of that, if he kept his mouth shut, he'd still be here with a great chance for a new title.

Only has himself to blame really.

He will going to beg pardon in front of fans and they will forget. Like 3 weeks ago. How can we lose all these matches ?
Unbelievable.
Yeah, thats the issue. he plays the 'charming boy from Germany' role instead of giving arguments in the pk's. If you listen to him you closely you see he has absolutely no clue what to do. Phrases like we have to do better, we have to learn. Blablabla... Like in all the pressers he had after Germanys NT losses. I am from Germany, I listened to all of them. His luck is he isnt Spanish, people forgive him. In CL his high line will be our death in crucial knock out Matches, in La Liga he lacks the ability to motivate the team and find tactical solutions. He for sure is a very nice guy, everybodys likes him. But he is a lousy manager.

I mean he was absolutely right. But the fans and Laporta could't contain their egos...

You don't say it, especially like he did, he fecked up. There was no point for it and he showed he was fed up and frustrated after 2.5 years of not being able to make moves on the market to upgrade the squad.

Xavi did not even start Raphinha regularly last season, so you have to take that up with him unfortunately.

Xavi wins this league no doubt if he could recharge and get mentally ready for the job. That's the only doubt. He'd need only a slight improvement from his worst league season and he hits near 90 points.

Xavi was the right manager... he was just too honest for most fans and Laporta.

We would have easily won La Liga this year with him. Zero doubt about that. 2 out of 3 Ligas would have been a brilliant return. Also wanted to get rid of Lewy, bonus points for that.
He wanted to click his fingers and get rid of Lewandowski, then bring who?

That is fantasy stuff. Any manager can say they want to get better players but we can't do it so that discussion is pointless and not worth mentioning.

Are you serious 😐

Wtf???!! Laporta pulled levers and took a lousy deal just so we could sign players. 200 million worth. Now you ate saying he was frustrated cause he couldn't get players. Look at Koeman and Flick. Both of these guys have got virtually nothing. Xavi wanted Roque too and see what happened there. Laporta indulged Xavi who returned the favour by shitting on the players he wanted to sign in the first place.
Get the fuck out of here.

Not this argument again... teams today need far more than 200-300m to build an entire squad.

It's very simple if you look at the squads we are asked to compete with and beat.

Most took anywhere between 800m to 1bn to assemble ffs . We're talking even teams like Arsenal and Tottenham who win jack shit.

Yeah,well guess what Sherlock Holmes?
We don't have that money. We are Stone cold fucking broke. I don't care what that ass clown Laporta says....he's full of shit. It's been 4 years we've been struggling financially and there's no light at the end of the tunnel.
However Flick knew the score and he knew what he had to work with, so there aren't really any excuses.

200m on a completely shit team. Flick got 50m Olmo as well with a vastly superior squad (not much, but still). Xavi didn't want Roque, but the deal was done. He only changed the timing, because why the fuck not. That was a politic move by the club if I have ever seen one.

Sure, we don't. Just don't pretend we invested massively and Xavi was a psycho for wanting investments to compete vs the big teams on equal footing.

For us that was a massive investment. Xavi signed an aging striker in Lewa when we could have stuck with Auba who loved the club and was doing a great job.
Xavi did f all in Europe. Two consecutive group stage fails and piss poor El campaigns. Had the nerve to say we're too big for the EL. The man was a clown. I'm not going to absolve the players cause they played their part in his sacking too. However, there's a reason he's unemployed. No big club will take a risk on him. They aren't convinced by him.
