Xavi played good football, even if Flick ball is more entertaining. Beating likes of Madrid and Atletico, 4-0 and 3-0 can't be done if you don't play good football. In our worst periods, sure, football was not great, but it's understandable.

His football was dogshit last season.

Sure the football was enjoyable for the 6 months when we had Auba and a few other players, for whatever reasons it seems like Xavi's tactical ideas got dumber and dumber as time went on. You're lying to yourself if you enjoyed the football and quality of our play last season.

Corrected..

Literally 2 months only, February and March of 2022. And that's it.

the other 30 months of his tenure were pure DOGSHIT ball

Had great games last season too. Not easy to beat AM 3-0 away for example. League was lost vs small teams mainly.

Yeah, results were off because of blunders galore in defense.

Gonna happen to Flick too, just wait some time for complacency to set in.

Might happen under Flick too as we have little depth, but the quality of football is without question higher than its ever been under Xavi and I expect us to still play relatively well in the games where stupid mistakes will cost us.

The quality of play under Xavi for the most part was bad, in wins and losses. That's the main difference so far.
Jury's still out on Flick though. Need to win big games such as the next two coming up.

Yeah, I said already Flick ball is more entertaining. I was ok with Xavi ball obviously and if Flick delivers at the current rate I will be even more happy under Flick.

I simply disagree that the quality of football under Xavi was anything less than acceptable even at its worst state. Far from what the reality was.

You can of course put all howlers on the manager's ability to motivate the players. That's another discussion.

Even in CL vs PSG the team was scoring a lot of goals until Araujo took over.

Xaviball wasn't as exciting as many of us expected, many expected him to be pep 2.0 which was his biggest down fall here.

Flick ball is obviously way more entertaining, high risk, high reward type football.

True. For my own expectations, he overperformed.
