Reminds me of another team -

And that another team was one of the greatest club sides of all time

BTW, because of that Milan team and what they were doing....

... the offside law changed (!!!) in 1990

(until then, the attacker had to be BEHIND the last defender, and not LEVEL as it is now)

We also had the luck on our side
Started almost too well, nobody could've thought he'll beat both Bayern and Madrid with 8 goals scored and only one conceded.
I must say that I find it mighty impressive how our attack converted against Bayern and Real. We got a goal for nearly every shot on target, while the adversaries were missing left and right. Once we get them in they crumble, but will all opponents miss like that? And if not, how will we respond?

missing left and right? Real had 2 shots.

edit: okay a few more than that.

Against Madrid, number of chances missed was pretty equal on both sides. Probably forgetting that Lewa missed an open goal, Lamine missed a clear 1v1 and Lewa missed a 1v1 from 5 meters. We were not just lucky in that game. We created more and scored more.

Against Bayern, I don't even recall that much big chances for them.

To say either of them was missing left and right while we scored everything is a bit misleading. I think we're ok if we continue to play like we played them 2 in other big CL games.

A 4-1 win against Bayern and a 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in El Clásico suggest that Barcelona is in excellent form and could be one of the main contenders for the Champions League title. These results show that the team can compete effectively against top-tier squads, which boosts confidence in their chances.

I’d say Barcelona can realistically aim for the semi-final. Of course, the upcoming draws and the team’s form in the spring will be crucial, but if they maintain their current performance level, they have a real shot at the trophy.

Okay, team just finished a training in the rain. Can be seen on yt channel. So 3 days off is nonsense?
Only the players that didn't play the full 90 minutes were present in the training. Except for Kounde, the madman could've been off but joined in anyway

Love the style of play Flick has created. All the goals against Madrid were simple and direct but beautiful.
That 4th goal was a perfect example of the kind of ruthless efficiency we should nurture at La Masia. A simple direct pass over the top and a finish.
It's clear Flick wants the players to be direct and not fart around with 50 backwards and sideways passes.
The players are clearly enjoying it too. This style of play suits them and allows them to express themselves.

Pipe down, you dribbling parakeet. It's a fair question to ask.
Game dynamics in a high stakes game like that can be heavily influenced by chances taken at the right time. We took them at 100% vs Bayern and managed to not concede in first half vs Madrid. Is Barca suddenly some God like team that will have its way every time from now on? I doubt it. So we'll have to see how team adjusts
