Barca are not far behind. If they face in CL Madrid are like 60-40 favorites. In La Liga, it's even closer. If Madrid sign Mbappe soon, it's gonna be a big gap, sure... But atm, not a big gap. Barca are expected to fight neck and neck for the title 100%.

I'd say a top 3 player like Vinicius is the major difference atm. If he gets injured, I might consider us favorites. He's the only player they have that is a level above anything Barca have offensively.

Two of the players Ancelotti relied on in Benzema and Courtois are gone or injured.

I don’t see anyone in that current Madrid side getting 20 goals personally.

They have a general history of overperforming in CL (more than other big teams like us, Bayern, Pool at least). Whether it's luck, referee favoritism, mentality, player quality or combination of those, the results are evident.

No they didn't... they picked up 1/6 from Sociedad, 3/6 from Barca, 4/6 from Atletico, 0/6 vs Villarreal, 4/6 vs Betis... if anything, they lost the league due to their poorer performance against the top6 teams.

Barca beat Real more times than Real beat Barca and Barca beat Atletico home and away.. Real didnt.

Barca beat 4th placed Sociedad home and lost away after league won.. Real dropped points both games v them.
