Lol yea really weird comparison. 2 very different players. I think for each game its different who's better on that position. They both have different quallities. True I think Pedro is great, but Afellay has his perks.

Review the Ronaldo duel beneith. Was it a foul or not? Ronaldo was slower.. didnt get to the ball first and went for the legs. If you look at the picture in the video you see Ibi grabbing Ronaldo's arm.. and while falling taking Ronny down with him.

I was dubious about Afellay quality until I saw what he did to Marcelo, THAT WAS AWESOME, of course that doesn't tell totally how much of a player he is but seriously I enjoyed it big time.

Afellay knows a big match, Adriano knows a big match. I am very surprised you guys thought Afellay would be playing normal when he is capable doing these things. They played like in a WC final, they know they can't be making many mistakes once you enter the pitch. Afellay did great and who can forget his nutmeg to Marcelo!

Ibi is bound to play more in the remaining rounds. It's really a blessing for him as we rarely had this kind of comfortable lead in middle of April. Plus Bojan is out so he'll be taking his minutes as well.

If he does, Afellay may end up feeling that if he can't get into the team that is already quite thin and comfortable in the league, what hope does he have next season when more players are promoted/bought. I wouldn't blame him then if he chose to leave in the summer and I also wouldn't be surprised if it was revealed that his purchase was made in order to make a small profit - Quite a smart move actually if that were the case.

Dont know if it is that smart. For instance think of what signal that would give his fellow players/fans and club co-workers, they might think that it could happen to them to...
A move like that wouldnt be very humane unless Afellay knows allready he is going to be sold.. which i think is not the case. He is very very happy there, and who wouldnt playing for the best team in the world. And the best player offcourse. Messi. For as long as im know to football.. there hasnt been a player like him, and my guess is there never will be.

don't think it was a foul, just some shoulder to shoulder. that shot was actually good i thought as i'm used to seeing alves on that side trying to shoot... fuck he's awful

Wish he would have seen Messi making the run at the far post after the nutmeg. Could have played a hard cross across the goal for Messi to run onto and slot home. But, he had good power in the shot.
